    Morning All.

Yes Tappers we do have snow, currently about 4-5 inches and rising  but I am not going to complain about some snow when we are all alive and safe today. The forecast is for a foot of it.

Mr Grumpy is in a right mood today, and as we are stuck indoors, it will be fun trying to avoid him :rotfl: he woke up on the wrong side of the bed, and if he doesn't snap out of it soon, he'll be waking on the floor tomorrow!

Diet still going well, I am really seeing a difference in my body already :j:j and the sweet cravings are almost non existent! Plan for the day is the laundry mountain, which all needs drying, food prep and menu planning for the week, and cleaning the house. I didn't do much yesterday so I need to catch up :o We were meant to be going to Stirling Castle for the day, but the snow has put paid to that, it was a free ticket too, so that's a bit disappointing.

Hugs spoons and hi fives where needed, good luck to miss Redruby, and anyone else who feels the need.

Flutterby that sounds gross but really good. Get rid of as much gunk as possible and lots of salt water. Maybe you'll be able to go out tonight after all. Seems to look promising for tomorrow for you :) x
Miss Redr good luck for today, hugs x
BB good luck for Monday, hugs x
Right, going to do something to make this house less of a health risk;)
Enjoy your days peeps, Silver x

Bitsy - hugs hugs hugs for you. And I sometimes think I have enough to cope with xxxxxxxxxx

For anyone with young children - I have managed to get 3/4 of the house cleaned today with the help of my boys 5 and 6. I let them "use the force" to help clean the bathrooms, get dressed up as jedi knights (bits of old curtains tied around their necks as cloaks!) with their lightsabers to blitz the bedrooms and the hall. The main living area was easy - I just emptied out their toys and told them to put away what they wanted to keep!!! The rest are going to the jumble sale! Just having a cup of tea / apple juice (depending on your age!!!) and then will hoover, wash floors, emtpy dishwasher and wipe surfaces. One of their "quests" was to see how quickly they could strip their bedding!!!! Which is now in the wash and will be all done by lunchtime.
Flutterby - yuk, but glad you're feeling a bit better. Lots of love x
Then I've promised them a big bubble bath. Must keep up the good work. Can't watch too much about Japan as is too upsetting x
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

    morning all!

Hugs to all who need them, and good lucks too.

I've tidied the house and had a bath, just doing my hair then pup and i are off out for a long walk. (possibly followed by a swift diet coke at our local when we're done) Got about 3 loads of washing to do this weekend, and am going to try and get ahead with my cooking and make a lasagne and other things that i can stick in the oven in the week.

Going to read my book this afternoon and maybe do a bit of baking, but we've lots in the freezer to use up so might get shot of that first.

    Have a lovely day all!

FB, great news! I know it's horrid but it is the best feeling when it goes, I remember it well. Make sure you keep washing it out with the salt water.
BB, hope all goes well for Monday.
    Good luck to Miss Redruby.
Hugs to anyone else in need!
Well, it's snowing here. Wanted to go into Glasgow to look for something new to wear for DBs 50th birthday but don't want to get stuck! DD and I are flying down to Southampton next Saturday for his surprise party, glad she is home as otherwise I wouldn't have gone on my own, our side of the family is a little lacking in numbers and his OHs are too much for me!!
Thought the washing mountain was under control but DD seems to have cleared the floor in her room and put it all in the basket! Had a mad couple of hours last night doing housework so not much to do today.

Enjoy your weekends. Take care. XX

    Morning all!

Flying visit as off to town with the girls in a bit, they don't know it but I need them to help me carry tubs from poundland lol! dd1 also needs to hunt for a pressie for one of her oldest friend's 16th birthday today, she wants to get her one of the interlocking rings that are trendy at the mo. dd3 is in need of a haircut, and for once she hasn't arrived home with any creepy crawly friends just before I planned to take her, yippee, tho I possibly won't be cheering as I pay!

OS stuff has so far involved dd1 loading dw and putting a wash on - of her stuff, suspect my stuff is dumped on one of the sofas, so best go put it away before the cats come back in and moult all over it! Did have a good hoover through and clean yesterday, so not too much more to do, kids bathroom could do with a S&S, will have a go at it later, and the utility is grubby from the dog and his mucky feet, he just doesn't seem to understand using a doormat!

dd2 wants a cooking fest this aft, picked up Good Food mag yesterday and it has a baking mag in it, the lemon cheesecake looks to die for!

Have a good day all, and will check in later if I stay awake - missed GW last night as fell asleep watching a dvd with dd3 at 6.30pm! Woke up to find her cuddled up to me at 7.30am, guess I needed sleep! xxx

    Afternoon peeps,
Washing out as it's a line fine, warm, breezy day. Was sunny earlier but high, white cloud covering now. The visitor's bedding will dry really well at this rate.
3 DGSs fed breakfast - staggered around matches. (The breakfasts staggered not me:))
Need to pull a spring onion from the garden for today's dinner.
Hope you're all having a good weekend, Silver x

thank you all for your kind words - you are all angels :A

I'm gonna go out for a walk in a bit, just having some scrambled eggs. The only 'good' side to this abscess has been not eating for 4 days and I've lost 5lbs! But I'll no doubt put that back on once I start eating properly. And TBH I'd rather have put on 5lbs in first place than had this horrid thing! :rotfl:
