I was sorry to learn of your family illness and that when you eventually opened your appliance, you discovered it was damaged. Unfortunately, having looked at the correspondence that came in over the weekend for the attention of the MD, I am unable to find any e-mail that relates to this situation.

Although we would expect any damages to be reported within a reasonable amount of time, I would like to look into this matter further for you and understand the extent of the damage before I am able to make an informed decision.

Hi , Good news all round Comet have offered to swap the damaged washer for a new one ! So thanks to Andrew Kingston at Comet and everybodys advice and help on here we are happy bunnies ! Will leave a final post when the new new washer is up and running Cheers :rotfl:
