I had a fiver on an Arsenal win. Not happy.

Though I also had a fiver on a Bolton win, and what a game that was!
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

    Talking of bets...

Who's going to respond first? The MD by email, or the Comet rep here?

Watched this game at my golf club and very entertaining ! Phillips goal was superb !! Shame that he was on the losing side !

This thread is going off-tangent but hey this is football/rugby and does anyone care ?;):rotfl:

Off topic for the moment. :)

We're at that stage where the OP has been given advice and information and is acting on it, and we're waiting for an update. So I don't mind too much, as long as it doesn't get too long. I kinda dropped a hint when I asked on the betting on who would respond first.

When it comes to threads that are "done and dusted"... i.e. the OP has asked, been answered, posted back to say "issue resolved" - then if members want to continue discussing ifs/buts/maybes/what-ifs? about some particular point of regulation that may well have drifted a fair way from the question asked... I just let them get on with it. Often, even if it's not "on topic" there's things to learn.

About the only time I point to the Forum view about staying on topic is when a thread goes astray for some time and the OP hasn't yet received a "concensus advice".

And... when push comes to shove - seeing the odd bit of friendly banter (as long as it's reasonably short) is a nice thing to see in a thread.

I reckon the MD will respond first. Judging by previous responses, the Comet rep tends to be subjective with his/her replies but I may (hopefully) be proved wrong !!:)

I'm betting on the Comet rep.

If the OP emails the MD today... it ain't going to get seen until Monday... and for a (nother) bet the MD's going to email the rep with something like... "Hoy!! Go fix!!"

    :)
