Quoting Wikipedia, too - that ultimate bastion of accuracyCoupon-mad wrote: »Love the way the PPC troll had to look up 'anecdotal'! :T:rotfl:
Been following this with amusement, although I don't think you're going to get any straight answers, just the Politicians Polka - one step forwards, two steps back, sidestep the issue and sling some mud
Never underestimate the power of the techno-geek...

All I need is a blue badge to park in these spaces? Great! Nan - can I borrow your blue badge please?0

You should know coupon is a SHE, and if you actually contributed in this section you will realise how much effort and time SHE puts into helping people!
Actually your contribution here happens to pointless and ill thought out! And if you had any inkling at all of the subject you would realise what a cowboy industry the PPCs are, and one of the biggest are UKCPS who actually target disabled drivers for abuse !
Fruit of the pudding

Why should I know it's a she? I should take that into account?
After reading most of this trail, I think your support of coupon-mad looks as sunk as coupon-mad's credibility.
Mind you......now you mention it, coupon-mad does come across as strident and hysterical!0 -

Actually it's your credibility that is coming across as sunk as you put it, and as you are quite obviously trolling on here making cheap shots at someone who contributes to mse it raises the question of your agenda here!
And I pointed her gender because you made an assumption that she was actually was a he, anyway as there is completely no point replying further to an Internet troll I will let you go on your merry way in your childish little games!Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Make as much noise as possible, and try and browbeat everybody into seeing it their way.
erm, she was sent a pm from a ppc asking her opinion! she has helped many people on this forum and will continue to do so, whether you like it or not.
and how does someone post over 400 times in a month, do you live here? or are you trying to get you're post count up so you look credible.0 -

It's more a case of being retired, disabled, and being able to do little more than keep myself occupied to take my mind off the pain.
Personally, don't give a fig about the post count.
Do YOU look on it as some sort of achievement?0 -
WOW
People dont mess with couponmad or taffy056, you are just opening yourself up to be flamed.

PPCs hold not authority and how many have ever been taken to court compared to how many have ignored them.
Continue your joke and karma is a bit**.
GL in your job, you go catch those non disabled drivers parking in a disabled spot.
AHHHH just had an idea, maybe you could get customers to fill in a questionaire when they park there you could make it available in braille, not forgetting all the other languages as well, as you are an ethical company.I all have learnt is from others on many sites.
Seek legal help if unsure.
Dont pay Private Parking tickets - they are mere invoices.

No way can I follow coupon-mad's logic and reasoning, so it makes contributions here pointless.
He reminds me of the Hyde Park soapbox orators. Make as much noise as possible, and try and browbeat everybody into seeing it their way.Why should I know it's a she? I should take that into account?

Other than to gratuitously slag-off Coupon-mad & taffy056, two long-standing & very well-respected contributors to this forum, what exactly is the purpose of your visit here?
Have you a meaningful contribution to make to the debate either on this thread or any of the others to do with parking issues?
You could always start your own thread of course if you've got an axe to grind.

Nowt wrong with being retired and disabled but it may well speak volumes for why you seem to take the view that Blue Badges and disabled spaces are for those with mobility problems only. Please correct me if I am wrong. Obviously I don't want to make any assumptions about your disability but as a general point, people with mobility issues were targetted by Mobilise specifically, using them and encouraging them in Disability Now (I think) to snoop on people and report 'disabled bay abuse'.
Never mind the small matter that disabled people were being told by a well-known publication with some standing, to make huge assumptions about others who may also have been disabled (or collecting someone who is)... I have never known any 'disability charity' before who thought it was OK to make assumptions about disability - quite the opposite.
Mobilise should be ashamed of the Baywatch scheme 'findings' myth which has been quoted by newspapers ever since to make everyone think that disabled bay abuse in Supermarkets is rife. Blue Badge abuse is rife all over the Country - yes - but bay abuse in Supermarkets? I would like to see some facts to back that up - and not misleading figures about how many cars were not showing a Blue Badge!
Nice linky here from 2009 about Blue Badges not just being for 'mobility issues' as such. It includes a quote from Helen Dolphin as well at a time when she clearly KNEW that disability wasn't just about mobility. Must have been before Mobilise were 'got at' by the dark side:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8094095.stm
Then here's another link to a forum discussion last month, prompted by a BBC Breakfast article with Helen Dolphin going on about 'nowhere for disabled to park' (hmmmm...wonder whose interests she was representing there then...). Post #18 sums up what was wrong with the Baywatch scheme really:

This has turned out to be a good discussion started by firebird20 and at least it's hopefully making everyone think about the issue a bit. Me included, must calm down about disability rights!

Yet another fine example of the hero Peter Ne'er-do-well in action, harassing a disabled motorist who had the temerity to park in a disabled bay.
Apologies if this link has been posted before, but there are developments on the thread posted today.
