£20 to spend at ASOS.com for £9 at Groupon

I have had many problems trying to use this asos code!!!!
I purchased two codes one for myself and one for my sister.
When I tried to use the first code the asos website crashed when I tried to purchase the item. The transaction never went through so I tried to purchase it again and it told me the code had been used. I emailed groupon about this and they never replied so I emailed asos. The same thing happened a number of times and I had to keep emailing asos to get a new code. After the 4th time it finally worked.
The 2nd problem was when my sister used her code. She ordered a dress which looked nothing like what it did on the website. The quality was bad and the dress was all creased when it arrived. The dress was £30 and when the dress was returned they refunded the £10 but she lost her £20. When I emailed asos re this they told me they could not issue me with a new code so basically I have wasted £9 buying this offer which I feel is very unfair. They were very unhelpful when they emailed me back. Surely asos could credit your asos account with the £20 or even issue you with a new code. At the very least groupon should refund the £9 but im still waiting for a reply to my email.
I was very disappointed with the this deal and will think twice before I purchase anything from groupon or asos again.

I have just returned an item today for a refund, I didn't bother emailing ASOS as I know they will tell me tough luck. The item I bought didn't fit and another size wouldn't have helped and looked very poor quality. I will wait for my refund and then contact Groupon and see what happens.
I have purchsed from Asos in the past without any problems, but never checked the t's and c's for this promo (durrrr !)that will teach me, if I had I might have ordered a different item that I knew would fit or just not bothered.Born and bred in Manchester (proud of it)

I had tried to use the code this morning, and entered the wrong card details in a rush, so the transaction never went through but like linsayann i tried to use it again and it said it has already been used! So i have sent the ASOS helpers group on facebook a looong message explaining what happened and got a reply straight away with a new code, so i advise anybody with this problem to go to the ASOShelpers page and do the same:rotfl:LaurenPenguin:rotfl:0

I also returned an item as usual from ASOS and they told me i cannot get a different item to replace it and as i didn't want another size I have just lost the money. Have also emailed Groupon who told me the same thing. Awful to be penalised for chosing the wrong item. Who is 100% sure about anything they order online having not felt or tried it on? Was shocked that ASOS would be party to this 'rule'! Will think twice about ordering from them now.Babiesmummy wrote: »I have just returned an item today for a refund, I didn't bother emailing ASOS as I know they will tell me tough luck. I too have also returned my item to asos and got the same e-mail telling me I would be refunded only the paid amount (minus code).
But I also emailed groupon who told me to contact them again when I have been refunded from Asos and they will credit my account with the £9 - not ideal if you want something else from asos, but I am fairly happy to use on another groupon offer - worth another email to groupon maybe for the people who have been told different?0 -

I too have been burnt:( am actually truly disgusted with Asos,( they have refused to refund me anything I also purchased a groupon code and as my luck would have it ( Ive never had to return anything to asos until now! because the pair of Asos Daisy Lace Tights were absolutely huge and they are one size fits all, well it doesnt as I'm a normal size 10 5'3 and these looked like they belonged to a giant ( not great quality either for £10) now I cant get a refund or exchange for a different size as there is only one size and they refuse to exchange it for a different item very disappointed with customer service and doubt I will be buying from asos in future and groupon well dont think I will be to eager to purchase many of there deals as there seems to be to many fiddly t&c!LOVE isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live WITHOUT0 -
I have been caught by this too and am really annoyed about it.
Bought a grey bag with my groupon and £5 and wasn't quite the colour I wanted.
They had it in black so returned it for an exchange only to be told it was now out of stock and I had my £5 refunded !
I thought they would at least have given me a credit for the £20 to use again, it's a big con.
I won't be using it again or ordering off ASOS.0 -

I purchased the voucher £9 for £20 spend at asos. I ordered a hoodie for £21.99. When the hoodie came I found it to be a little short on the arm, and wanted a larger size. I sent the item back to asos requesting an exchange for a large. Couple of days later I got an email from asos saying the item is no longer instock and have refunded me the cost MINUS ANY DISCOUNT. So I received £1.99 back, and lost my £9 voucher. I understand the terms and conditions state you will lose your voucher for a refund, but feel this is entirely unfair as I didn't ask for a refund, I asked for an exchange! Moreover, they stated that the item was no longer in stock? Well I went back on the website and the same item was IN STOCK in almost all sizes! So they have lied to me and I have ended up being £9 down though no fault of my own. I have seen that a few others have been having the same problems with this deal.
What can be done be done about this issue?0 -
Hello
Can anyone help please - my codes are not working. I bought one for my partner and I.
Can anyone tell me who we should contact first - ASOS or groupon?
Has everyone been successful getting a new code?
Many thanks0
