Sometimes it is best not to listen to those who tell you Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

Edit: Deleted picture from film above quote is taken from.

I must admit that once the silly name calling started from those with a different point of view to me, as well as the inference that I must be an !!!!!!, I suspected that my case might have some merit. :)

eBay certainly did. After considering my appeal, they have wiped my slate clean.

    Thanks for the helpful responses.

Hopefully this will be a learning curve for you. Don't buy unless you want an item. Ebay have these useful tools such as:
    a watch list
    a research list
    a gift list
    a wish list

Each of these allows you to keep an eye on an item and decide if you want it. Only if you are 100% sure can you then press the buy it now button.

You can quote distance selling regulations but I would still love your ebay ID so I can block you.
I'm glad that the majority of people who buy on ebay do their research first and then actually "buy" the item unlike yourself.

Ebay may have wiped your slate clean but please think of sellers who will loose out financially because you changing your mind.

.I have changed my mind on another item since (item not as described) and there was no problem at all. The seller responded to my communications. The whole matter was settled in an amicable and businesslike fashion.

So since cancelling the 2 sales in the original post, you then have changed your mind again and cancelled another sale.
3 items in the last 1 or 2 weeks you have cancelled because you have changed your mind.
I have no idea. However, at an average of one item per every two years I don't think it is excessive.

    How can this be?
Its seems you do this alot more frequently that you actually acknowledge. More like 50 times a year??????????:mad::mad::mad:

If you believe any of this of course. Pretends to be asking for advice - then has the miraculous solution. Just attention seeking in my view.

I did wonder how long it would be before we got the 'ebay agreed with me ' post ...I just sincerely hope that the buyer retained their refunded fees.

However sellers be warned that with no strikes the OP is now free to buy your item and then decide he doesn't really want it after all.
