Even your user name is the wrong way round, the saying is doom and gloom not gloom and doom, did you commit to that before you thought about it :rotfl:
You could change it to 'tobuyornottobuy'0 -

I do about the same as well. However I change my mind before I press the Buy it Now button, that way it saves on wasting everyones time:D0 -
Must not feed the troll, must not feed the troll, must not feed the troll..............

it would be good to have an adult discussion on this topic.
I guess some people cannot win even a fairly straight forward argument as this one without resorting to name calling and personal attacks.0 -

Same here, i will have a BIN listing in my ebay for a couple of days before actually deciding whether to purchase it or not, just incase i get that impulse feeling!0 -
When you click the BUY IT NOW option it clearly states....
You're agreeing to a contract -- You will enter into a legally binding contract to purchase the item from the seller. You're responsible for reading the full item listing, including the seller's instructions and accepted payment methods.
DSR law states:
...the effect of a notice of cancellation is that the contract shall be treated as if it had not been made.
The above quote suggests to me a seller cannot request payment once cancelled.
You can check if this quote is in context or not from the link below.

I must admit that once the silly name calling started from those with a different point of view to me, as well as the inference that I must be an !!!!!!, I suspected that my case might have some merit.

eBay certainly did. After considering my appeal, they have wiped my slate clean.
Thanks for the helpful responses.0
