Hi
I have been watching the forum, i have reported it to action fraud, who advised me to aso logg with local police, which i will, they also stressed that they want as many people as possible to report it too, which will bring the case to investigation quicker.
When you met with your MP did you discuss that it should be discuss with the goverment that large organisations like the credit card and loan companies should also take some of the responsibility when also dealing with debt managemnt companies. I still feel that they should take on some of this debt. They are quite happy to bail out Portugal, when they could help us for a lot less. so much for "charity begins at home"!
I had quite a discussion with my MP, he had already got all the infromation to had.
He is not happy with these people, he is instructing Gwent Police to investigate, by all means speak to action fraud, but they only provide intelligence they do not investigate!! Speak to your local police (ideally speak to a police officer attached to their fraud squad, normal bobbies will direct you to action fraud, its an easy way out for them) make a statement of complaint, you will need a complete history to do with DCM thats means taking all you bank statement, information recieved from DCM, your debit at the time of going to DCM together with your current debit status.
The statement you are going to have to make is not a normal statement, you will not be in the police station for a matter of an hour but that of hours!!!
They will commence the investigation it will then pass onto Nottinghamshire police fraud squad whom will undertake the investigation.
Keep all you information i would even make copies (i would scan it all into your computer). If scanned it makes it easy to email it to people who can bring this story more into the public domain.
My MP is getting an investigation conducted by the government through the Department headed by Vince Cable Business Secretary. This is going to be done because of the lack of regulation that is clearly evident with this company.
He is also instructing Gwent Police, he does not believe that this "might" be investigated as highlighted by action fraud but "should definately be" and he is speaking to Gwent Police to reinforce this.
I have a meeting with the Serious Fraud Squad attached to Gwent Police on Tuesday i will let you know the outcome of thisSTILL IN PURSUIT OF THOSE RESPONSIBLE, NEVER GIVING UP. SEMPI FI.0 -
Quite correct.
The OFT issues and has an online database of Consumer Credit License registrations.
I find it completely absurd that they couldn't check.
I posted the license details for DCM at the beginning of this thread, which came from a search via the OFT website that took all of 30s or so.
Repeating said search on the OFT site shows it is still there and easy to find.
THey have provided loans to other companies (i know they should have been doing with out money) but dont people providing loans need to be regulated by the FSA, do they have an FSA license people?!?!?!?
just a thought.STILL IN PURSUIT OF THOSE RESPONSIBLE, NEVER GIVING UP. SEMPI FI.0 -

That almost certainly refers to the fact that in some cases where consolidation etc may have been a viable alternative to a DMP, then DCM would have been authorised under the Consumer Credit Act to act as broker by referring clients to providers.
Consumer Credit Licensing doesn't apply to loans between companies as they are just ordinary contracts.
As for FSA registration? I'm not sure?
I suspect not, as regulated FSA activities don't always cover what you think they might.

just got back from the police station!!! not bad got there at ten this morning been doing statement for 6 hours.
my statement together with 30 odd bits of evidence is winging its way to nottingham for investigation.
Just spoken to jenny up in nottingham can expect an incident number when it is recieved and then crime number.
IT is being treated as theft as the mo until they investigate it will then become fraud.
So everyone get to their police station and do the same.
