Cracked my Terramundi

My husband and I have just cracked our Terramundi pot, having started it exactly a year ago. It was an engagement present from my Matron on Honor. Tonight we have counted over £657 (in £1 and £2 coins). This is going to pay for our trip to the USA in September. It has already paid for one flight!.
They are an excellent way to save. My husband has loads of piles of silver all over the place and I am forever scooping it up and taking it to the tuck shop money tin at work and exchanging for 'golden nuggets'.0 -
Well done eBay Queen. Can I ask whether it was absolutely full or could you have got a few more in?
I have two terramundis at the moment. I save £2 coins in one and £1 coins in the other and was wondering how much I'll have when they're both full.0 -
Just got a deluxe terramundi half price from Ortak in the sale £30 down from £60! these stand 30cm tall, more than double the size of a standard pot! just dropped my first £2 coin in but the makers claim that these pots when totally full of gold coins hold between 3 and 5 grand! yes thats £5000! Enormous 3D TV here i come!0

you could then use some impliment of other to make the hole
a) big enough to get your cash out of
b) big enough to hold a plug/stopper ...so it is still useable as a money box if desired
This is what we did with ours and worked really well, we have then taped up the bottom of the pot with elephant tape - saved me haing to buy another one! :j0 -

I think we could have got an extra £10-£15, but I had that in cash anyway so we cracked it. Make sure you have lots of those plastic coin bags!

After 6 months of saving (£20 a week in rent from my son's friend certainly helped!) I opened my pot in February by tapping it lightly on the bottom with a hammer. It contained a lot of money notes & I had over £1300.:j0

I've just bought two online for £25 from temptation gifts, one is going to be displayed in my new house and the other is going to be a xmas gift for my sister0

Just bought two for £25 with £3.99 postage from temptation gifts. They look the same as sold from the other company to me but nearly half the price. Paid with pay-pal from some stuff I've sold on eBay - so technically they've not cost me anything (erm ... sort of). At least they're not on a credit card!! Plus I won't be likely to smash them before they're full because I won't want to waste the money lol. This could be a good idea for me and by the time one's full it'll pay off at least one of my debts!!Prov1 £3392 - Aqua £1136 Vanquis £1500, HM £21, Barclays £680 Payday Loans - £1000 Mother - £770

Loved reading all your posts! I have a teramundi pot but we emptied it using a knife and had about £50 or so in there, I put all our spare change in ours and any coins i find around the house! I have one in my wardrobe that I havent used yet (got it in the sale in Boots after xmas) so I might start using that one as well for £2 coins and leave it hidden away at the back! xNov NSD: 8/7 Dec NSD: 1/10Sealed pot member #1443 2011: £106. 2012: £171Ninjakat challenge: Aim to clear two debts by April 2013100 day challenge: No toiletries or magazines 19/100 (3 x fails
