What about a Lego Star Wars keyring? You can get them on ebay from around £4

There are three Potato Heads - Darth Tater, Artoo Potatoo and the Spud Trooper. £5 is about the cheapest you'll find them, so Asda looks like a good bet.

I'll keep my eyes open for anything else - would solve a few problems for hubby's present too

    Help!

I'm doing a rather extravagant (not very MSE of me, I know) Star Wars hamper for my husband (who it may not have escaped your attention is a big kid), because he's worth it!

I've managed to snaffle episodes 4, 5 and 6 off Play.com for a fiver each. The things I still want to get and am looking for cheap prices are these:

    - Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga for Xbox 360 (Not Lego Star Wars 2)
    - Episodes 1, 2, and 3 on DVD (Ebay's been rubbish so far!)
    - small bits and bobs, sweets, figures, etc - cheap ones

Please let me know if you see any around, it would be much appreciated!

Thanks to all the wonderful posters in the past few days as well - I'm plenty more inspired by the hampers and some of the tips - especially the bow making one.

    Cheers!

I got some Yoda bubble bath from pound land :rotfl:

    :D

I discovered Instore for the first time today on recommendation of this thread - and OMG! Had practical palpations in there - just WONDERFUL!! SO cheap. There are various things I saw there that are the cheapest I've seen - Bratz dolls half price etc. I didn't get much as am really trying hard not to spend too much. I did get a fabby football lampshade, which I'm going to use at the 'hamper' for a friend's little boy and fill it with cheapie footie themed things - will line with strong cardboard though - it was only £3.

I also got OH a little pack of FHM minis for £2.99 which I thought was good :) This is for his hamper, which is slowly growing.

I will be posting some photos shortly of the hampers I've completed - tonight if i can, but it might be tomorrow if I can't work the camera! I have spent quite a bit so far, but would have spnt a lot more on rubbish that I'd spent no thought on had I not gone down this route. I need to buy cellophane - how much do you think I will need for approx. 8 boxes? How many metres do I need to get?

Some one mentioned Instore a couple of posts up,. I popped into my local one last night just as the assistant was price reduing the baskets!! I too nearly fell over with excitement. I only picked up 3 as storing them is difficult. I snaffled a small lidded wicker basket £1.50 from £3, a small seagrass hamper £1.20 from £1.50 and a white lined willow basket £1.60 from £2.00.There was lots of stock and many were great prices before the reductions but hey it all helps. Might be worth revisiting your local store.

I am soooooooo inspired by this thread I have got my baskets and cellophane & ready to go!! I got a beautiful old fashioned wicker basket with a handle at my local charity shop in the week. Even though it cost £4.50 it looked as though it had just been gathering dust in someone's house. I love it so much I think I may have to make myself a hamper so I can keep it! :rotfl:

The one thing I would like though is some shredded paper/tissue to put in the baskets. Apart from buy some paper and putting it through a shredding machine - which I haven't got - can anyone give me any idea where to look to purchase some. I have looked back through the thread but didn't notice any. I would prefer tissue as it looks so much softer:).

    Many thanks :j .
