The one thing I would like though is some shredded paper/tissue to put in the baskets. Apart from buy some paper and putting it through a shredding machine - which I haven't got - can anyone give me any idea where to look to purchase some. I have looked back through the thread but didn't notice any. I would prefer tissue as it looks so much softer:).

    Many thanks :j .

Places like Clintons and Birthdays sell paper pre-shredded for about £1/pack in loads of colours if this helps you?
  • Sea they look beautiful, well done
Just back into comping past few months to help me get over rubbish in life.... won Hotpoint fridge freezer, soda stream
  • You can buy a pack of 30 sheets of various coloured tissue paper in Poundland. I picked some up this week. They've also got posh bows 2 for £1 and curling ribbons with them.

I got some lovely tissue paper from Primark yesterday. £1 for 10 sheets. One pack is themed red, 5 plain red and one white with merry christmas in red script on it. The other is gold themed, 5 plain gold and 5 white with gold stars on. I am using mine to line my plain baskets. I thought their range was very reasonable and really varied. Even had Disney stuff, definatley worth a look

Would just like to tell people that the Instore shop that everyone seems to get all their bargains from, also trades as Poundstretcher. Only just found this out and am off now to my nearest one to have a look.

Alternatively for a moneysaving idea for tissue paper someone has mentioned Clarkes shoes before (not sure if it was on this thread or another) but they have tissue paper in their shoe boxes that they throw out.

I got some from there yesterday for free so thanks to whoever mentioned it - think it may have been Quakers!!

    It looks lovely zulubabe.

I am getting lots of ideas and will mostly likely make some hampers as birthday presents.
  • Just wanted to thank everyone who has posted here. It's inspired me to make my own hampers for the first time - economical and actually FUN! Especially good for 'difficult' presents, eg friends and family I have already given everything I can possibly think of in previous years. And for a small extra cost for container, looks so much nicer than trying to stick several parcels together. Thanks.
