I'm now thinking of what to put in a hamper for my niece (8) but am having so many ideas that I can't decide!
Either : a cooking theme with a fairycake mix, a dvd/popcorn etc & snuggle fleece, a art/craft set etc, can't decide which way to go!
I like all these ideas.. maybe with the art and craft set you could include things to put together thankyou letters for all her christmas presents. It's a nice habit to get children into doing (if she doesn't already)0 -

Hmmm I may pop along to Boots this afternoon and look at the soap and glory stuff - that gift set is great value. If I can make head or tail of the Boots thread I will see what else is a steal at Boots!!!!0

- love the hampers too -they look fab!
Got-it-spend-it - you mentioned using your No 7 vouchers to get nail varnishes to use as teen gifts for a local charity - can I ask what charity you're thinking of?
I know this is all a little bit off thread but it's just that I've made up 22 shoe boxes for girls (mostly teenagers) for the shoebox appeal and I'd prefer not to send them all with samaritans purse - I'd love to be able to donate some within the UK but don't know where.0 -

Going to pop out tomorrow and see what I can find
Yes yes it is a lady Rainmac, someone who has helped me quite a bit over the last couple of months and isn't having the best of times herself.
The boots hamper is fantastic well doneI have never managed to get to grips with the boots thread, however I think I should at least try!
Good luck finding your bits and bobs for your hamper.
I've never got the hang of the Boots thread either but wish I could as I love a bargain:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

I was also in au naturale for the first time in ages and they had loads reduced, mugs from 20p, pens sets from 20p, fuzzy felt 75p, plates £1, crystal type stone thingys 50p, BIG canvases for £5, that fairy princess canopy things for over the bed £3, vases from £1, they also had boxes (not reduced) from £3 for the 'decent' sizes. You may walk and you may run

And every time the storm and the soul wars come

Hi everyone
Had a christmas catalogue through the door today for Fashion World and it had a couple of ideas in it someone might like -- first was a Boxing day Turkey revival kit which was £15 and had some mayonaisse, korma paste, strawberry jam, and mango and ginger chutney, shouldnt be too hard to replica and wont cost anything near £15
Other thing was a fabric wall haning for kids which was a star chart and the stars attached with velcro (I think from see ing the picture). Not sure what the material would have to be for the chart as it would have to be something the velcro would stick to may be like those sticky dartboards you can get. It had little pockets at the bottom to keep the stars in and antoher one which had numbers in and you could keep a tally of how many stars you have. I wouldnt mind doing this for my grandchildren as they can be terrors when they want to and I think they would like a star chart that isnt just a scrap of paper pinned on the wall.0 -
