Just been to Tesco tonight and they had lovely chrome wire baskets for £1.27 each. Picked up a few to do a couple of pamper hampers. They had loads in my local Tesco in Bristol.

Mary - sounds like you managed to get some lovely pressies on budget too!

I've been trying to be good - I was going for an NSD today but then had to pay out for an organised light party (alternative to halloween). DS got given some freebies tho and it was 2 hours babysitting with tea! Missed my NSD tho...

Still not found those bath pearls lol

How about some chocolate (or lots of chocolate ;)), pampering stuff for your friend to spend some time on herself, a good chick flick book, candles to create a relaxing environment... sorry can't think of anything else at the moment, will keep thinking!

Just realised, I've assumed your mate is a woman! How about a journal in a jar so your friend can think about positive times and maybe help them realise what's happening now isn't forever???

Thankyou for all of the help with the hamper :) Going to pop out tomorrow and see what I can find :)

Yes yes it is a lady Rainmac, someone who has helped me quite a bit over the last couple of months and isn't having the best of times herself. :)

The boots hamper is fantastic well done :) I have never managed to get to grips with the boots thread, however I think I should at least try!

Hi Passion8, thanks for your kind comments, i used both. The red bows were pull bows and the pink I did myself. HTH.
Great job with the pink bows in that case :) If I can be so cheeky, can I ask what size pull bows you used please, and whether you got them from ebay or online anywhere? TIA :) No rush btw, still undoing wrapped baskets lol.

kitiaracat - those cupcakes look fabulous as they are - you've got the 'knack' too :D

Here is my pamper hamper for a close friend.

Everything was bought using the pink £5 off vouchers that Boots give you. This is on top of the half price offer that they currently have on.

No7 Eye lash curler. Pre offer price £11.99. I paid 99p
No7 secret trimmer. Pre offer price £11.99. I paid 99p
No7 compact mirror. Pre offer price £24.99. I paid £7.49
No7 pedicure set. Pre offer price £14.99. I paid £2.49
No7 Body massager. I think this was £14.99 and again I paid £2.49 (not 100% sure)
Box of chocs, This was the free one from Boots also as they have 3 for 2 offer on.

Total cost of hamper, £15 max:T. Basket was free as it was one I had in a cupboard.

    Have yet to wrap it.

    Hope you all like it!
You forgot the No7 Illuminating mirror  ;) It looks really nice btw :) If Boots ever stop those vouchers, I don't know what a lot of us would do ;)

I'd recommend Bootsing Rusty, but it can be highly addictive :D

On a less flippant note, I'll try and think of something for the 'chin up' hamper (what a thoughtful gesture btw) but there's been some good ideas posted so far. My first thoughts was to tell you to get her drunk :o;) but soon realised that might have been out of order. But could you maybe buy her a hand cream that she wouldn't normally buy, and throw in a hand massage for free? Or a French Nail polish set, but you paint the nails - that sort of thing?

Not very good ideas at the moment, so I'll keep thinking.

I was thinking of something on a similar line Passion, maybe a small movie hamper with a good girlie film and you can make sure its know that its for you and her, (maybe something to laugh at or to cry at together) two small bottles of wine from that Asda deal, some choccies to share and a bit of popcorn. With you having kids Rusty giving your time to her is as precious as anything you could buy and if she has kids she will appreciate that too. I know from your threads you have had a rough time recently so maybe it will be a mutually beneficial thing. x
