Well done Ickle, I see you've been busy too and made some great savings :) (Still love the front page present btw ;)) Are you wrapping and then cellophaning?

Do you have a shredder or know someone who has one, you could make your own shredded tissue. The idea of newspaper or maybe parcel paper at the bottom with tissue over the top is good - I've done this ;)

Morning rainmac :) Parcel paper sounds better doesn't it? Boots send loads when you order online lol, but my oh 'killed' the shredder through overworking it :D and I ended up scrunching cellophane yesterday :o But it was what I'd practised with, so it wasn't suitable for much else ;) Great for packing tho' :D

    Has anyone successfully shredded cellophane?

I'm going to make a "Whisky Lovers" hamper for my parents for Xmas after buying two lovely whisky tumblers from ebay, apart from a nice bottle of whisky has anyone got any ideas what I can put in it, I've come to a bit of a standstill!
    Thanks

Hi :) I just looked at a whisky set that I'd bought in a Debenhams sale and that includes a small bottle of whisky, but also includes a hand-warmer  (probably for winter picnics? lol), and one hip flask - presumably for the men? and a funnel to decant the whisky into the hip flask.

    There's a picture of a funnel here:

wow ickle- huge savings (esp on the third one) were the ipod and cd something that you won in competitions or something??

I was going to suggest that too about shredding it- i bought a shredder from woolies (worth it range) for less than 4 quid and a pack of tissue paper out poundland, i now have 2 drawers full of coloured shredded tissue and loads of white too (which i pinched from work- work in a jewellery shop where we wrap up some purchases in tissue)

  • Mrs T, depending on who your hampers are for/ what's in them a cheap hand towel can be a good option to fill the bottom.

I've got a stash of that brown paper you get from Boots.com and shred that to use in mine.
