Shakespeare3, what a wonderfull hamper. earthmother that looks really pretty, would love one of those myself!!
The hampers I make are to be sold on ebay so get most things from discount stores, have to stick to a budget for each hamper, but would love to go wild and do a really indulgent hamper... you lot have so many great idears, loving the american theam.
brookeslay Costco sell loads of things from american brand items, cholates candy, bits like that.
Rusty that looks fantastic, very impressive hamper, I always found mens hampers really hard to even attempt.
just read this little story,
husband gives his wife 8 Red roses, with a small tag saying, "I will love you untill the last flower dies" .....
and the one in the middle is plastic.
I thought that was so sweet, might do a mini version in a hamper... hmmPeople who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones...

use a claw hammer on the top and prise it off, that way it can be opened without smashing then just superglue back together ... this does work as my dad and step mum did this with the one I got them for their wedding
Lovely hampers earth mother, bet they went down a treat!

Hi Everyone,
After reading through the whole thread, and loved every second of it, I have decided that Hampers are definitely the way forward for presents… All of the ones on here are amazing!:T Well done everyone!
I was wondering if anyone could give me a few ideas of what to get for my OH… He is so difficult to buy for. He is mad about motorbikes but works with them 6 days a week, so anything that he needs bike wise he gets from work. He likes boats, cars and planes (anything with an engine really!) He is useless when it comes to money, but all in all, I would be totally lost without him!:o
Any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks

How about a cult movie eg Easy Rider with popcorn, doritos and dipand vouchers for 'after movie treats'!!;)
Bath soak with moisturiser (for dry skin and hands)
Magazine subscription for bikes/cars/planes
model kit to build car/boat/bike/plane/helicoptor etc- some come with engines so they can be usedPucker up and kiss it Whoville! - The Grinch:kiss:0 -
Icclekat, how about a copy of planes, trains and automobiles with Steve Martin in? Covers all modes of transport then... :rotfl:
Are there any exhibitions/ museums he'd like to go to? You could have a nice day out, maybe dinner afterwards. Would he like that?
If you have Tesco Clubcard vouchers you can exchange for subscriptions to all of these motoring magazines... http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/browse.aspx?N=4294966467+4294966464. Much cheaper than paying full price! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Thanks for the suggestions for my twirly basket guys, some really good ideas
I saw an old fashioned spinning top in Home Bargains today. It was lovely. Either £2.99 or £3.99 can't remember. I bought the drum from the same range for my DS2 for his music box I'm putting together for Xmas. Think I'm going to regret this purchase aren't I... :rotfl::wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

I saw the old fashioned toys in Home Bargains, really lovely! I got my eldest a wooden cup and ball for 79p and youngest a drum. I also bought a wooden click clack track for £4.99. Looks quite like this one from the ELC for £17.50...
I love Home Bargains:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
