  • morning all, having trouble finding the little bells for the reindeer. got them made but bell less!! anyone know a shop in town where i might find some.? They do look lovely and so easy to do. I am not a crafty person never made much before but these look so good you would think i had been doing them for years. The flannel cupcakes fooled my ds. He asked what they had been made for and i told him gifts for xmas. He laughed and looked at me as if i was crackers then said 'they will have gone off by then' (not me thats crackers). So they must look real good too.

Passion this is the link here .....

Oh my days - you've all been sooo busy
Thanks for the link for the light up glasses Rusty :) Can't say I've seen those before but could do with one for when I put a drink down and can't find it :D I'm not 100% certain (need to look in the stash lol) but I'm sure M&S did a light up corkscrew.

And just how impressive is your NUFC hamper? :j As rainmac said, your OH will be over the moon I'm sure, and no doubts it's inspired a few other people to make football/sports related hampers :) Well done :D You should feel more than chuffed with it. I would :)

(Btw, when I've been shopping lately, I've found myelf drawn to black and white items ... can't think why ;)) But don't, whatever you do, let him near the terramundi with a claw hammer! lol. Do as Di-Dough suggested (great name btw) as it does work. I've done it during some lean times ;) Good luck with the 'problem' too x

earthmother - ltns :) and how pretty are those hampers? Love the idea of buying essentials and placing them in a hatbox (I'm a sucker for hatboxes lol) but it's something I'd never have thought of :o so I might 'plagiarise your idea lol. It beats dropping the odd nail file and eye-pencil sharpener into a basket, as I do, and keeps everything together doesn't it?

I've fallen in love with the hatbox and lilac container :) and as for the ribbons? *drool* lol. Did you buy it like that or diy? Tia.

Some ideas for American Hamper ....

    [snipped ...]

Just adding this link to your very comprehensive list brookeslay :) for American fudge cake:

    http://www.cadbury.co.uk/EN/CTB2003/kitchen_lifestyle/recipes/chocolate_treats/american_fudge_cake.htm

Btw, have you tried ticking the Remember Me box when you log in? I often used to get logged out, (usually in the middle of a long post lol), but that seems to do the trick ;) (Saving to notepad helps me too :D)

3tabbycats and findingmyfeet - hi :) I'm so glad you mentioned the googly eyes, jingly bells, and pipe cleaners etc, as I've been searching eBay for all the bits and bobs (and tying myself in knots during the process lol). I got some very funny looks from my OH when he spotted the list too :rotfl: so I wondered if there was a one-stop-shop that all of you other animal flannerlers used? Tia x

Morning rainmac and thanks for that link - third of the day ;) As mentioned, I got myself in a real kerfuffle on ebay lol, but it was the 'googly eyes' that created the biggest problem (and the bells lol) because they're all in different sizes! :D so any other help would be more than appreciated :) Tia x

Passion8 - feel free to pinch any ideas - that's what this thread is all about isn't it :)

I bought the bow from a local florist - I just told them how big and what colour and they made it up for me - very happy with it for £1, especially as I wouldn't know where to start with something like that :)

    (BTW - what's ltns mean?)

Long time no see ;) and thanks for the reply :) The florist's it is then, as I'd never be able to do those ribbons like that. They'd be full of knots! :D

I remember Harvest Festivals at school!!! Bet your heart felt like it was going to burst seeing and hearing your son performing. I loved seeing my eldest in the plays and sports day at pre-school, can't wait for what they are going to do at big school!
