Used to bring a lump to my throat - many years ago now but I can still remember it.
When we went to Liverpool in June we visited the Cathedral and there was a school service on for little ones - I had to hide behind the postcards when they started singing........they sounded so sweet......lol
Well, I've now got my pipe cleaners soaking in cold coffee in the hope they'll turn from white to some shade of brown ready for my reindeer heads..........lolMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Just adding this link to your very comprehensive list brookeslayfor American fudge cake:

Btw, have you tried ticking the Remember Me box when you log in? I often used to get logged out, (usually in the middle of a long post lol), but that seems to do the trick(Saving to notepad helps me too
)
3tabbycats and findingmyfeet - hiI'm so glad you mentioned the googly eyes, jingly bells, and pipe cleaners etc, as I've been searching eBay for all the bits and bobs (and tying myself in knots during the process lol). I got some very funny looks from my OH when he spotted the list too :rotfl: so I wondered if there was a one-stop-shop that all of you other animal flannerlers used? Tia x
I can vouch for that cake being gorgeous! My OH makes it for meDebt free wannabe
Littlewoods - £214.82 (DD set up so 0%)
Very - £100 (0% on BNPL - 1/4/13)

Hi  - particularly to passion8 and all the other reindeer makers
Wilkos are selling googly eyes for 70p a pack
Rymans had some nice glittery ones that I used for £1.99
Instore sell 6 brown and cream flannels for £1
Dunelm red ribbon £1 for about 5m
The Works, Asda and other supermarkets are all possible sources of pipecleaners - I had trouble getting pure brown which is why I went for the glittery ones so it would look deliberate but I think it looks really effective
I haven't bought bells yet - but am still tempted. I've wrapped 2 reindeers minus bells already.
I've also done my first fluffy cupcake in a mug with a little bath ball thing on top to look like a fruit. I think it looks lovely. May post piccies later - but this one I am keeping for myself! OH can give it me in the hamper he is making me... (he's vaguely aware of this....)

I remember Harvest Festivals at school!!! Bet your heart felt like it was going to burst seeing and hearing your son performing. I loved seeing my eldest in the plays and sports day at pre-school, can't wait for what they are going to do at big school!
It was quite strange as he has been coming home singing cauliflowers fluffy most days and I suprised him by knowing the words .... he didn't believe that it used to be our main harvest song aswell! Anyway he kept a sercet from me, he failed to tell me that he was standing up and saying something so when he stood up and I actually heard him at the back I was well proud of him! Maddison sat clapping and shouting at him aswell :rotfl:
I missed the harvest festival last year at his old school as I was in hospital but I think this has more than made up for itRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Do you know what! I think that is a fantastic idea!!! Well done!
Won't be one for christmas from me, however I am tempted to start saving up and see if I can do something similar for easter as I decided this year rather than spend a fortune they would get a small basket with a couple of eggs and 1 small toy ... however you now have me thinking I could do a rucksack type present for OH and the kids and then we can have a nice day out aswellWe have most of the things should just be a case of packing it up then find somewhere free or somewhere with a small charge ... we had a fantastic day at the zoo not long ago and everyone stared as we sat in the rain under a tree with the thunder banging having a picnic

Hi all
Big mumma i think that is a fab idea..most people rarely visit places that are on their doorstep and having someone point them in the right direction would give people some great days out i'm sure...I might pinch that idea for oh and I for new years day (if the weather permits:rolleyes: ) We'll be on our own and it always feels like a bit of a non day just sat indoors.
Yay my cello and ribbons came today from flower hour..the ribbons look very scary though:eek: ..just need to get the things for my hampers now..and the actual hampers of course:rotfl:Team Edward :smileyhea0 -
