Im definatly converted on the Hamper/Basket Idea!!
My grandma died of cancer a couple of years ago so for my mum i have thought about doing a pink cancer research inspired hamper filled with all the pink bits and pieces you can buy where money has been donated to Cancer Research, does anyone think that this would be a good idea?? That way she gets loads of usefull little bits and pieces but also the money has all gone to charity. Also does anyone know where i can buy the stuff as i looked at my local Cancer Research Charity shop yesterday and could only get a HANDBAG, CANDLE & PEN!!
Thanks guys
Princess

I've just had an email through from Next, and they have some Breast Cancer Care items - brolly, wellies, slippers, undies, and a sweet little teddy keyring - not cheap though.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -
earthmother, the hampers of your from last year are absolutely stunning!!!
Anyway onto the coffee ... I managed to pick up some fairtrade single sachets of percol at the supermarket, think they were near the coffees, if not they were with the sachets of hot chocky. I have seen individual tea bags but will have to think where I have seen them. I know places like asda etc have them in their cafe and also hotels do them in individual sachets.
Did a quick search and this page came up http://www.pennineteaandcoffee.co.uk/caaa530.htm
Not sure if this is for catering or anyone who can order and I am sorry I haven't had much more of a look but there were plenty of links there to choose from.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Not sure where to put this but at the moment Whittard have 50% off all china online (not sure if this offer is in store too?)... http://www.whittard.co.uk/store/catalogue/China-P7000/By-Design-HSC7000/. There are some lovely mugs and tea for one sets!
Earthmother, meant to say had a look and I don't think Whittard teabags come individuaklly wrapped. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

I'm doing a selection of mugs for part of my christmas hampers - I can get hot chocolate easy enough, and I *think* I can get coffee (Kenco do a pack of their columbian/costa rican varieties, but it's a case of tracking it down), but I can only find the herbal teas in individual packs, not standard tea-with-milk type tea.
Help?
Some packs of Twinning herbal teas are individually wrapped. you could also try places like Whittards (or Twinnings if you're in London)...April Grocery Challenge £81/£1200 -
Wilkinson have their gardening stuff half price - might be useful for anyone doing gardening hampers. I bet they will be reducing by 75% in a week or so!!!!
I bought another of the foot care gift sets in boots today for £3.99. It is such a bargain as they work out £12.99 when bought seperately.
The person who was asking for baskets, check out QS formely Be Wise as they had lovely lined ones very cheap last weekend. Also lots of bits and pieces reduced there.0 -
Thank you all

I'll try Lidl first (have to go there anyway), and if there's no luck there, the PG Tips will do the job too (looked on ebay too - must have missed these). I need about 30 bags, so either option will give me some spares for last minute pressies.
