Thinking of you Rusty. :grouphug: Sounds like you've had a really rough day. Your OH sounds like a really good guy, good job your with him and not your ex anymore! Even if it means you have to go through this sort of hassle. I'm confident it'll all work out for you. Good things do happen to good people.
Anyway, after reading through all your brilliant suggestions I thought it was about time I shared some of my ideas incase they can help someone out with ideas
My nan absolutely loves Baileys so I'm going to do her a Baileys themed hamper. I'm going to spend a little more than I would on others because she's lovely and deserves it.
I'm going to get her a big bottle of Baileys (we've got a Macro card so hopefully I can get a bottle cheaper there), a box of Baileys truffles (seen them in Tesco for £4.99 - hopefully find them cheaper elsewhere too).
Gonna get her a couple of glasses to drink from (maybe some of those glass coffee ones)! I thought I might make her some Baileys flavoured fudge myself and put it in a nice bag or box and then put together and print out the recipe for a Baileys latte for her.
Finally I'm going to wrap it all in Baileys colours (dark brown tissue paper, burgundy, green and gold curling ribbon) so she doesn't know what things are before she opens them.
Have you signed up with the Baileys club? www.baileys.com There's a good chance you'll get a freebie for your hamper on there, plus they had recipes online. Mmmmm....yummy!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Nessa, that Baileys hamper sounds fab, sure your nan will love it! I have been a lurker on here for a while now but am definitely going to give hampers a go this year and think I will be doing a Baileys one for my mum and a girls night in, movie hamper for my best friend.
Thanks to all you guys for the ideas! I can't wait to get started!!!0 -

OMG that hamper sounds divine:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
I keep forgetting to put this one up, when I was in Matalan (spotting lots of good ideas for hampers) one of my fav's was this Morgan make-up back gift set they had. Its metallic gold and looks really expensive. There are three bags decreasing in size and the smallest has some make-up brushes in it. It looks really expensive and I secretly really want one for myself!! ... but anyway, their around £8 which works out £2 per bag! Ideal if you have a few ladies to buy for. The two larger bags are empty but they are all absolutly stunning!0

I don't post on here, but I lurk lots
Firstly Rusty, huuuge hugs. I am so sorry you are going through this, but pleased to hear that crafting and this place is bringing you some comfort. Not sure where you lve, but if it was anywhere near B'ham, I would come to visit you with a huuuge box of crafty bits:D and some wine and choc, but if there is anything I/we can do, just yell xx
Secondly, lowering the tone somewhat:rotfl: and apologies if already posted, but this is something we did for charity a few years back- snowman poop- marshmallows from the £ shop in a cello bag, with this poem
"Santa checked his list not once, but twice
and found you've been naughty, and not very nice.
Since coal is expensive, here's the scoop -
he's filled your stocking with snowman poop!"
also re reindeer food- we made ours with glitter and were told off by a wildlife person, who said that it is toxic to birds (and quite attractive, so they eat it) not sure how true this is, but we are making it with silver balls/hundrends and thousands this year- v cheap at the moment at Mr T's for some reason?
This is the poem we used- again apologies if already posted
Magical Reindeer Food
"Inside this special package is a treat
but not for you!
It contains magical reindeer food
and here is what you do.
Sprinkle this magical reindeer food
carefully on the ground.
And tonight if you are lucky
Santa's reindeer will come around.
But here's a secret I have to tell,
one you must try to keep.
That Santa's reindeer only come
when you are fast asleep.
So quickly put your jammies on
and get a story read,
Then sprinkle this magic treat outside
and hurry off to bed!"0 -

Primark is excellent for pj's. The thick ones are only £3 - £4. I bought a lovely fleece blanket for £2 from there too xLittle Miss Chatterbox
