I went into the Celtic shop today but everything was too expensive, a mug alone was £7.Thanksx

you could try charity shops, sometimes they have football stuff. Does he like puzzles?? You can make your own word puzzle here
http://www.armoredpenguin.com/wordsearch/ just type in anything that's relevant to him (family names or football players) and perhaps you could find a Celtic pen to go with it?

I've used these for parties where the first one to get all the words gets a prize, for holidays with all the appropriate holiday words - something to keep everyone occupied during transport delays ;) and at Christmas.

**just to add - all ages seem to like these (even secretly ;) ), I think because you can make the puzzles so personalised - they're the centre of the attention :)**

Also got miniature archers 69p each, various chocolate and mini toiletry bits . All looked useful to me . Loads of high school musical stuff in and disney type stuff.
Then went in wilkinsons and got 3 kids books reduced to £1.65 for the three.

  • Thanks Soblivion and Shelley :)

Shelley it is a Darth Vader bobble head. I picked it up from Tescos was about £3 or £4 but reduced cause there is a split on the bottom of the plastic packaging. they are £9.99 normally

Have started my christmas hampers :-)
  • My Christmas hamper making has just been given a huge boost - the Clinton Cards near my work is closing down, and they have tons and tons of small cuddly toys reduced - to 10p each! So I picked a pounds worth up this afternoon, and will probably get another 10/20 tomorrow - woo! I'm going to be drowning in teddies!

On a less happy note, I can't find hampers/baskets anywhere. My wilkos doesn't seem to stock any, and despite being in London, I can't seem to find nice and cheap baskets anywhere! Grr!
In a better financial position than ever before (thank you MSE!). Moved back to Scotland and now trying to keep debt-free!
  • i found some nice baskets in charity shops- only 2 so far but were brand new round wicker ones so its worth a look in them :-)
