  • Hey all :hello:

I'm thinking about doing a basket for a friend and I can't decide whether to a haircare one or a chocolate goodie one?

I have most of the things for a haircare one thanks to boots lol, but what do you all think? And if I do a chocolate one, I could make some choc truffles and include a few bits but it would need to be fairly cheap so any ideas on what to use that doesn't cost the earth would be good :)
Maybe I could include a cheap bottle of fizz, but again any ideas?

Also does anyone know where you can get one of those hair towel turban thingies? Sorry not a great description I know lol ;)

Sorry for all the Q's :)

    TIA

Hair turban-Mine was from the £1 or 99p shop. It's called a turbie towel and they're fab! I think Savers sell them quite cheap, too.

Personally if you have most of the haircare things thebn I would go for the haircare one :) The towels are Turbietowels as ruth said. Can be picked up in wilkos, savers, home bargains and poundshops. Again Ruth has already mentioned some of these :) in Wilkos they are 99p and are also on the website ;)http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/invt/0181293

Why not put some chocolate in it too? Best of both worlds, fab hair stuff, and some scrummy chocolate too! I am doing several hair care ones (also courtesy of Boots;)) but thought I would get those small boxes of Guylian Seashells for about 70p, or bars of G&B from Morrisons for £1. :D

By the way, I know some people were on about Grumpy Old Men baskets, well I saw some fab Grumpy old men socks in Primark last night, £2 for 2 pairs I think.

Thanks Bunbun, still looking for one, planning a trip to Ikea some point this week but some fool hit my car yesterday so waiting for them to come and see me. Will have a look in tescos on the way to ikea.

Rainmac you are in trouble again ... your fab ideas are costing me money lol ...

    Just seen this

I could get it personalised with daddys penny jar or something and it could do into the box of black and white stuff from the children. Also thought I could add a bottle of newcastle brown ale who used to sponser NUFC :D:D the ideas are flaring within me lol ... Roll on pay day then I will go out and get everything I need and then can put it all in the basket that I hope to buy this week! love the terramundi though ... shame they didn't do vertical stripes!

Ohhh go for it!!! I'm such a bad influence I know  but it would look so fab with all your other stuff. I've got my OH one for Xmas with the view that we will put £1 coins in (or maybe 50ps) and see how much we get and then do something nice with the saved money.

I am going to get it ... I emailed them and within 10 mins I had a reply. they don't do vertical stripes so this one will do nicely ... maybe then I can put the large whisky bottle in the cupboard under the stairs :D ...

When you have filled them I believe there is a special way to open them without smashing them ... something to do with snapping the top off so it can be glued back on.

we bought one for my dad and step mum for their wedding :D they loved it, plus the writing on it said congratulations in bulgarian which is ideal as they now live their :D
