  • I've just done my first hamper and it's so difficult to give away all my Bootsing bargains!!!

I was supposed to be making cakes for a Macmillian coffee morning at my Slimming World group tomorrow, but didn't get chance, so thought I'd make a small hamper as a raffle prize. It's VERY last minute so I'm totally unprepared, but I had a metal mini shopping basket thingy spare (normally used in bathrooms), and put in a few of the bargains I've recently got in Boots - hair serum, face wipes, body lotion, lip balm, face scrub and perfume samples.
Might also add in a couple of chocolate bars tomorrow as a treat :p

Will try and post a picture tomorrow as not got time now.

:T Thanks to all for ideas, have been reading all the posts over the last week and have lots of ideas for Christmas hampers...and it's still September so I'm impressed!! :T
 I have this theory that chocolate slows down the ageing process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?

Hi Shelley, the hamper looks just Fab, what a lovely gift.

  • Cupcake holders from ebay as shelley says ... as for cheap flannels I like the Asda ones, but normally use ones from Wilkos they are 25p each :)

Fab hamper Shelley looks really expensive. What was the rough cost on it? did you manage to stick to budget?

Thanks Rusty i'll breakdown the costs now:
    Champagne (on offer) - £10
    Chocs approx £6
    Champagne flutes 4 @ 2.79 - i've kept 2 for another hamper
    Chocolate candle £1
    2 flannels 90p
Probably spent about £2 on wrappings
Basket was free from my gran (did cost me £5 from Asda week before !!! expensive but I was in a rush)

Just came in roughly on budget but I think it looks more expensive mainly because of the champers. Thanks for your help :T
Think my Mil will be pleased because she just doesn't have a clue what to buy them. Going to take it up tomorrow morning x

Personally if you have most of the haircare things thebn I would go for the haircare one :) The towels are Turbietowels as ruth said. Can be picked up in wilkos, savers, home bargains and poundshops. Again Ruth has already mentioned some of these :) in Wilkos they are 99p and are also on the website ;)http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/invt/0181293
I've never heard of these but I can think of a few people who would like them. Have you lot tried and tested them? Are they good?

    Loving the hampers....

I have tried and tested 4 of them in the last 8 years :o:o:o I love them. My hair is quite long so it is so much easier to twist and tuck so to speak. Need to buy a new one now though ... although each one seems to last me 2 years or so which I think is great lol. (I wash my hair every other day if this helps with how much use they get lol) go get one and I reckon you will be impressed for 99p :D
