Unfortunately she also said she would like to do a joint hamper as the uncle is 60 soon and she'd like to give it together !!??!!. However (although its her brother and wife) they are not that close and she doesn't know what they like. So the only suggestion she came up with is Champagne and Chocolate with a £20 budget!!!
I really wish she had given me more time to come up with something really nice but the clock is really against me. I tried to suggest other things like retro hamper, a special tree with message for the garden etc but she just wasn't interested.
Anybody got any ideas what else I could put in??
Oh how nice of the MIL Shelley!!! I would go with what's been suggested already - 2 glasses, bottle of something and some chocs. Do you have a basket/container or need to get that too? Asda is a good bet, you should be able to get everything easily in thereI hope you get BIG thanks for your efforts.

funnyfrecle I bought a cheese grater in Tesco today for my brother's italian hamper so thanks for the info.
rusty are you still looking for a black box? In Tesco they had a black plastic crate for £1.20. Not the most attractive of boxes...but black:D
...maybe not the most attractive of boxes, but it is cheap and will be full of Rusty's fab stuff! Good spot bunbunUseful storage container afterwards too! Can you get large Newcastle stickers - could put a couple on the crate...?

I could get it personalised with daddys penny jar or something and it could do into the box of black and white stuff from the children. Also thought I could add a bottle of newcastle brown ale who used to sponser NUFCthe ideas are flaring within me lol ... Roll on pay day then I will go out and get everything I need and then can put it all in the basket that I hope to buy this week! love the terramundi though ... shame they didn't do vertical stripes!

Thanks Rainmac i think Asda is my best bet too. Day hasn't gone as planned so I will pop down later and get all the bits. Luckily I made a hamper for my bampy's birthday last week and when my nan heard I had to make this one for my MIL she gave me the basket back and said I could use that to save some pennies. She's such a sweetheart LOL.:D:D
