Love that basket of goodies for your gran Rusty! That picture of your two is fab, I wish I could get my two to stand still and together for 2 seconds for me to get lovely pics like that! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0

It was my dad's 60th earlier this year - I got lots of little things that would mean something or that I just knew he'd like, but I think the most appreciated was the file I put together - events of his birthdate and year, famous birthdays, the no.1s for his birthday week for each year and a compilation of photos.
I put some of the photos onto a mug from Snapfish (most developing companies do them - just happened this one had an offer at the time), and picked up a selection of original 7" vinyls from special years (15th, 16th, 21st etc - usually around £3 each on ebay unless it's something major like a Beatles or Presley). If I'd thought of it earlier, I would have quizzed the family for more childhood photos and family history to make the file even more personal, but I ran out of time on that.
Wikipedia is a good place to start the search for info - just put in the year and follow all the links that get thrown up. Oh, and a quick look on the Silver Savers board will throw up a good list of MSE type things to know when you turn 60 - I managed to fill a page, and ran off a few vouchers at the same time.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -

I know this isn't in the slightest way related to hampers, however could you all look here and offer any suggestions please.
