I have been up thinking hampers again! Its my dads birthday coming up and I have a tight budget of £10.
I have already bought him a book, for christmas he is getting a foody hamper to share with mum and a golf hamper.
He loves chocolate so I was thinking maybe green and blacks if budget will allow. I thought I could make him a triple layer individual cake too. Any ideas of anything barginous I could put in? He is into gadgets and works in an office.Debt free wannabe

any ideas on how to present it ect
and also any tools on sale anywhere
thank you:D
I don't know if this is of interest but Poundland has some DIY bits and pieces on 3 for £ - packs of things like screws, nails, nuts and bolts etc. They might make a good filler for your toolbox hamper.
My husband buys a lot of stuff from Screwfix (https://www.screwfix.com) and they have a huge amount of tools and are probably cheaper than stores like B&Q.0 -

That tin looks fab, would be great for kids as they could keep pencils/treasures in there afterwards!Might well try and do them for any upcoming birthday parties!Slightly worn out mum to 3 (DS1 May 03, DS2 Feb 05, DD1 Feb 08). When i grow up i think i'll become a UN Peace keeper....0 -

The tins are supposed to be lunchboxes. By the way Asda had a cat and dog pink one for about £3/4, Castle one £3/4, High School Musical £4, hannah Montanah £4, I think they may have had a pirates one.... The price was more attractive on this one tho.;)
Tesco's had a lovely Bratz lunchbag in the shape of a beach bag half price at £3.50 but I resisted....
However I wondered about doing a stationary box with them or an under 5's little toy selection.....
I bought a second tin but currently keeping options open.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hello all - I'm back !!!:j
Gob smacked by the stuff you've done............so well done all:T
Am now getting in a state of panic..................oh eck................didn't get as much time as I thought when I was away to shop around.......no Poundland or Poundshop but a 99p shop so got some brown/coffee colooured and cream flannels..........think I got a black one as well to do a guiness glass but can't remember and haven't really looked at it all yet.
Collected my bits I'd ordered from Colemans and that was it.
So, going to have to drag OH into Lincoln when I've got myself a bit more organised. Need nice jars for journals/quotes/facts, cheap notebooks to decorate and put with journal jar.............umm...........oh can't think what else...........................lol
Good to be back..........going to take an age to catch up...............lolMary

The offsprings dad had a birthday this week...he works on the move between half a dozen or so offices, so doesn't have a base as such.
I bought a 48p SmartPrice luchbox thingy from MrA & put [own brand where possible]:
cold & flu remedy hot lemon powder sachets...1:84
medicated throat lozenges...2:43
off-the-shelf throat lozenges...49
pain killers...15
nail clippers...in a set with the emery boards, orange sticks & nail buffer
emery boards...1:50
nail buffer
Total=£6:90 give or take my dodgy memory!
He has access to tissues & disposable gloves so didn't bother with those, but he was mighty pleased with the Medical Box cuz he can keep it in the car for when he feels a cold coming on. I was thinking that this could be added to a car survival kit, especially for a long distance driver?

thanks
They're with all the stationery and "back to school" stuff. They do notebooks and pencil cases etc with the same pic on them, so I guess that's why they are there (I couldn't work it out at first! lol)0
