Thats a lovely idea Rainmac. Do we have any pics of the chinese basket in progress? You could use some straw or a long piece of the grass type stuff to tie around the chopsticks?

Ok ok I am going back to make another nappy cake... I get so carried away on this thread and I *NEED* to make another basket! :o Just thinking who I can make one for and what I have in the house ready for it ;)

No pics yet but am going to try and have a sort out over the next few days so will see if I can get some pics taken, just for you ;)

Depends on price ... you could buy a small toolbox and place the tools inside then wrap with a ribbon?

Not seen any on sale however you don't want to buy cheap ones as they don't last and can be quite dangerous (I used to be a mechanic) All of mine were snap on or mac but these are mega expensive. I was bought a set of draper and also some stanley and these are fairly cheap and fantastic tools. Look in Halfords as they stock both makes and sometimes have offers on them. Or even Wilkos, I think they stock draper and may well be cheaper. Also look in places like B&Q etc.

Rainmac you are a star! Lol

Can you really not see the tape? (Dumb question I know...)

    No problem :D

You can't really see the tape, you can sort of hide it in the folds of the cellophane so it's only seen when the pressie is unwrapped.

Wow Rusty, love that christening nappy cake :D

You seriously should look at charging for your time - planning what to buy, going to buy the items, making the cake... £20 is an absolute bargain!

Thanks Rainmac. not bad for 20 mins work eh ;) I think I would feel guilty charging anymore though. Will speak to OH see what he says. Maybe do a trial at a bit more expensive price. and see how it goes.

Maybe go for something like this

or with a clear lid if you can find one then keep lid closed and use some tissue paper to block the top so it can't be seen through? Personally I would still cello wrap just for more of an effect :)
