I had a look in dd's play box but she has used all hers by the look of it. Otherwise I would have posted you a piece!
I will ask her when she gets home (as she may have some lurking somewhere).0 -
Hi Rusty!
Do you have a stationery box near you? I would be surprised if they didn't sell chalk.
Never heard of it, I shall investigate on google in a momentCould you go to a pub where they play darts (and use a chalk socre board) and pick up the tiny little bits they leave, or just whip out to the car, write the names and put it back?
Or are there any sports pitches near you where they may use a chalk board?
Or how about asking at ds's school? Or a playgroup/nursery if you know anyone who has children in one?
Ah, can see you've thought of the school idea - I'd go wth that tbh.got-it-spend-it wrote: »Rusty, have you considered chalk pens? Most restaurants use them to write their specials boards etc rather than bogstandard chalk. We have them at work- if you pm me your address I can send you one if you like to save you buying a packet.

I know strictly speaking this is not a hamper but I am rather chuffed with it. This was my telephone order I took yesterday which was a request for a cake for a 12 month old for a christening. I used PJ's instead of a sleepsuit and obviously bigger nappies, vests. However I couldn't find any bootees but found these gorgeous slippers ...
Anyway unwrapped
and wrapped
The woman loved it and couldn't believe I charged so little (this one was £20)Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Wow that nappy cake is lovely
£20 is cheap as it looks like loads of thought has gone into it
I would be please to receive that.
Ive never tried doing a nappy cake but I have a friend whos due soon so I may attempt one for her as I think they are so thoughtful and useful...also as shes on her second baby its hard to find something she wont already have (unless she as a girl of course as she already has a boy )
well done0 -
Rusty: How do you wrap the cake?! I have no idea and need a dummies guide to it!!Green and White Barmy Army!0

Thanks Alzipalz, I find them quite easy to do now, although to start with I pulled them apart so many times cause I wasn't happy. Definately recommend them for giftsRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Maria so pleased to hear Joshua had a good day, all the best for other little ones starting too. My son starts college Monday (where did all those years go? and my DD just turned 21 last week)
Rusty do you have a toy shop near you, would they have chalk? Not something we use here or I'd have sent some, sorry.0 -
Hello everyone, I have been reading the thread for a few weeks now. The hampers on here are wonderful, I have decided to have a go at one for my niece who will be 15 this month.
I would like your advice please. I am looking for cello wrap, which I have found on ebay and somewhere recommended on here, think it was flowerhour. It does seem quite expensive though when you account for the roll, delivery, ribbon and bows. Was just wondering roughly how much is the normal cost? I have found a florist wholesaler locally but they only do clear and white dots in 28m rolls, it is cheap at £4.70/£5.88 but wanted pink for my niece if possible.0
