thank you Rusty, I will be getting one of these! Where did you get your sweets from? xx
I haven't got them as yet because they will either go sticky and soft or go too hard before christmas so leaving them til a week before hand. Then I will go to the local market where a man sells haribo and loads of other things for 50p a bagYou could just get them in the supermarket though Asda do loads of variety for 39p a bag and 69p a bag.
Failing that go to woolworths and fil a pick n mix tub up and then sort them out yourself when you get home.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
I got my sweetie boxes from woolworths and they were black........was going to do one for my sons 40th (did the grandchildren sweetie boxes instead of easter eggs and son went potty over them...........lol Then I couldn't find where I'd put the wretched box (had tidy up when baby grandson came up in June..........lol) Found it this morning when hunting for the 'missing flannels' so now he'll get a sweetie box for Christmas -and a flannel yule log..........lol
I got my sweets for the boxes from woolworths but didn't use the pick n mix....they had some packets 3 for price of 1 so I had an assortment of those -worked out cheaper.
Biggest problem was getting the sticky label off the front of the box !Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Mary can I be cheeky and ask how old you are? ... I know you have mentioned grandkids etc but you don't seem that old and now you mention your son is 40 :eek:Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
 ummm.........let me think (grey cells need prompting)...........I've had my bus pass for four years...........does that help ?? I'm 64 !!!!:shhh: (don't tell a soul...............lol) and have no intention of growing old gracefully.......oh no.......I'm aiming to wear purple in a big way, big hats and bags.........long flowery skirts .............the world won't know what's hit it................lol
I'm mad as a hatter now (as is my best friend) so - half way at least to being whats known as a 'dotty old lady'.............lolMary

Any idea where they would/could be in Woolies as I have looked and not managed to find any0 -
Might be hard to find this time of year what with all the other stuff they have. I know in our woolworths they were tucked at the side of something else.in the hardware section.......if I hadn't been specifically looking I'd never have found them. Want to get another one so I can do one for each son for Christmas so going to keep my eye open. Mind you ours is a very small branch.Mary
