Well those marks and spencer black and silver gift bag/boxes have arrived. They are tiny - they would fit a bracelet in. Don't know whether to take them back (and get £5 back) or whether to keep them just in case.... The things is I used a 500 point voucher to get them (that you could only use on line) and they cost £5 plus £3.50 post and packing - so if I took them back I'd get my £5 back and still keep the equivalent of £1.50 from the voucher......Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi all, love your ideas and fantastic ideas and baskets as always. :T It's a joy reading this thread and I get quite engrossed, as a result I tend to lurk, reading it rather than writing in it .
I have been thinking what to do for my eldest child's friends for christmas. there are SIX  best friends, so was thinking of saving my jam jars and putting marshmallows in them, then I thought it might look a bit boring. I liked someone's piccy with the jar of marshmallows. Do y'all have any idea on how to jazz them up?!
Cheers, Mrs t0 -

Oh how annoying . I looked for these in store the other day and couldn't find them, but I was looking for something normal gift bag size so maybe that is why.
Could you use them for anything? I'd be tempted to keep them rather than lose out on the P+P to be honest, but obviously not worth it if you'd never use them.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
savingholmes wrote: »I have about 3 unused Ikea boxes, plus Ikea baskets plus an assortment of collapsible boxes and crates. I could probably start a small shop or at least a market stall with the amount of "containers" I have in - just in case! I have therefore tried to restrain myself from buying any more until I've used (more of) what I have already got!
Expedit drawer set £18 (still in packaging)
2 large white kassett boxes (still in packaging) I think worth approx £8 each
2 medium black kassett boxes (still in packaging) probably worth £6 - but I may keep them for male themed baskets
1 rian side table (still in packaging) worth approx £8
So I'm thinking.... may take back £18+£24 = £42 and get credit vouchers to use on self or others for other Christmas presents.... I am worried that my mum will get sick of getting an ikea box every birthday and Christmas!!!! Even if she did tell me she liked them originally!:DAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I've noticed that about price of Ikea stuff on ebay, always more than in the shops.
Savingholmes, I'd keep them or some of them if I could put them to good use. If not I'd take them back and get vouchers. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
