  • does anyone know where I can buy a small tea tray? I have bought a tea for one set in black and white and cant find one to match
Poundland had small ones last week, didn't take much notice of colours
Wilkinsons had some about 10 days ago 1/2 price, probably all gone now
Morrisons usually have a selection of colours

Well on Friday I picked up some of these
    SCAT123-5465.jpg
One in pink and the other in Blue for my children ... I want to fill them with little cheap things which they can use/play with but have til christmas to sort it. Any suggestions?

    So far I have:
    Colouring books x 2
    crayons x 2

and thats it ... thought about getting some chalks, some sweeties (or may just put in their sweet compartment tray I am doing) marbles for son, small dolly for daughter, couple of cars in each

Any suggestions? My son is 6 in just over a month, and my daughter is 14 months.

Hi, where did you get these from, and how much were they? Thanks.

To pad out the bottom you could put in a new sweatshirt/jumper/dressing gown/PJs ie something you'd probably get them anyway. I wanted to get something a bit bulkier for my boys (my daughter seems to be getting bigger pressies this year whereas theres are now getting smaller) and i managed to get them a Dr Who (they're obsessed with it) sweatshirt each 1/2 price in the Next sale.

thats exactly why I have started wrapping!!
    :T
In the past when I have done gift boxes or bags / baskets I have always had the problem of just adding one more thing.... (shopaholic tendencies will out) - unfortunately when I wrap them I then tend to open them nearer the time as I will have forgotten what was in them and like the thrill of looking at all the things in there:eek: I think with the help of photobucket and this thread I may be able to overcome that tendency as long as I post all my finished items.... So remind me again what does finished look like????:p :rotfl:

    Lovely baskets everyone!!!

Rusty, I bought a blue chalkboard box from Matalan today for DS1! I'm going to make him a movie box for Xmas. I ordered 7 kiddie DVDs for £10 (Melissa posted details on a thread, sorry can't remember which one), got some popcorn boxes from ebay. Going to get popcorn and maybe some sweets and it will be done. Great pressie I think for about £17. I didn't get one for DS2 as wasn't sure what I'd put in it but I am going to gather togther a selection of playdoh bits so maybe will put those in one of the chalkboard boxes.

Thats a good idea Rainmac ... wonder if I could put a dvd in each aswell ...I might see if I can pick up some bits today to put in each of them. Will let you know how I get on.
    Thanks
