It's for my friends 21st, so has 21 things in it!
The basket was from wilko's for £5 and was the only thing that I bought specially! Everything else was purchased whilst bootsing etc.
At the front is a small photo album, which I have put pictures in. The front picture is of her son.
The cellophane was left over from a lovely bouquet that I had a few weeks ago, and it's got really nice colours in it. Not 100% on the bow yet, so I haven't attached it. But overall I'm pleased with it!Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

Hi All!!
I spoke to my brother today and told him what I was putting in his girlfriend's hamper and he said she would love it which is good because I don't really know her all that well! She is really quiet and I'm the complete opposite of that and so I apparently intimidate her!! As if!!
Anyway, I had a question for all you hamper experts, I've got a couple of little pots of things that won't be seen if I just place them in the basket. I was wondering how to go about padding the bottom and what I should use to do it.
Thanks! Saving hard for a brighter future!:beer:0 -

In the past i've used either shredded tissue or even scrunched up cellophane! Could always use a handtowel or teatowl (depending on the theme of your hamper).
For MILs birthday i'm doing a food hamper, using a metal colander instead of a basket and have put a couple of teatowel in the bottom!Slightly worn out mum to 3 (DS1 May 03, DS2 Feb 05, DD1 Feb 08). When i grow up i think i'll become a UN Peace keeper....0 -
Hmmm thanks for that melon, I think I will have to have a play about when the other items arrive to see what I can use. Saving hard for a brighter future!:beer:0

Well I have been on ebay and bought loads of sanctuary goodies (boots) really cheap ... thats my mum and MIL number 1 sorted for christmas once I get the basket and set it all up ... only another million presents to buy now!
Also want to do a hamper for my grandad and also my aunt and uncle ... both are church goers and also they have all of the fairtrade items, my uncle loves fairtrade chocky, but my aunt is allergic to it but I can substitute it with cheese ... Just need to find other bits now ... any ideas?
P.S all 3 people are avid bird watchers aswell!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Love your basket Lilian, full of lovely stuff! Can I please ask where you got the mugs from, they are really nice:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Morning!
Not sure if any of you visit the Crafty Crimbo thread--I get around a fair bit:p , but only to the nice places:D
Anyhoo.....a nephew who will be almost 12 come crimbo, will be the recipient of a 99p Wilko photo album, that I intend to decorate with grass-effect paper & stickers of his favorite footie team. Add a disposable camera & that'll do nicely methinks. Would this be an idea for you Draig, to get a photo album & cover it with pictures of the kids?
I was also thinking about having a look-see into gift voucher type thingies, if not to cover the full cost at least go part way to paying towards it:-- for the more popular but pricey attractions like theme parks
- we have a Butlins fairly close that open to one-day visitors
- ten-pin bowling; swimming pools; cinema; museum; race track--greyhound, cars, horse, athletics, go-kart
- USED to be able to get stamps from the post office to save up toward things like road tax & TV licence... if they still do that & could be extremely well recieved by those of us who are struggling financially, cuz it would free up X amout of pounds to pay for summat else....& let's face it, tv & motors are an expensive luxury to keep going:o
The vouchers can be put in with a little summat to still make a gift...the tv licence ones along with the mugs & coffee, road tax with the cleaning stuff, etc
