earthmother - they look gorgeous -really well displayed too...........where did you get the plates from ?

    Thanks :)

They were freebies - the round ones were a catalogue code last year for a picnic set - the mugs and cutlery have been great for the kids, but the plates just never got used. The flower-shaped one was something my mum picked up in a sale somewhere - but again they never got used (I have more plates and some bowls the same - must try and find a project for them, lol).

I just clingfilmed them, then put the plate on top of some gold paper plates I had leftover from christmas to help hold the film in place (I can never get the stuff to 'cling' ).

I'll have to see what I've got kicking around...........I bought some little candles that look like chocolates in cases and it I put them on a gold coloured plate with film over the top they would look more like chocolates (I think). Can''t think of any other way to display them:confused:

Depending on how big they are, would a small gift box do the job? Or, if you have anywhere near you that sells sweets by weight, they often have small boxes, sometimes with clear lids, that you can fill with their sweets for gifts - I've bought them empty from my local sweet shop before, so I'd imagine most would sell them to you (or maybe a bakery would also be worth a try).
