I love the red colour Mumoftwo, - what was that you wrapped it in, was it cellophane or some other kind of paper?

Red cellophane, I bought it from the florist. It is lovely and so vibrant and you don't immediatly see what is in the hamper, not from a distance anyway, I am sure my girls beady eyes can spot the sweets a mile off :rotfl:0 -

I am intrigued - whats the dust pan biscuits about?

The idea is you are baking biscuits for someone but drop them on the floor, you had no time for baking some more so you swept them up into a dustpan and give them anyway (using a new dustpan of course!).

Stole the idea from this website. This is a different poem. The one I used goes I was in a hurry,
'Cuz time was running out.
I'd baked a batch of cookies for you,
And when I turned about,
I saw they'd fallen on the floor.
It made me want to shout!
How could this happen at this time,
When time was running out.
I couldn't throw them in the trash.
Whatever could I do!
I quickly swept them in this pan,
And rushed them off to you.
I changed it a bit to become less american and the I to us as my little boy helped make them for his teachers.0 -
All the baskets together
Each can't of cost more than £5-£7 at the most which is perfect for our budget.
Most have a similar thing in them, wine minatures and glasses for those who drink, santa/snowmen/coin choccies, couple of candles and some bath bombs. One has beer and a mug with hot choc and marshmallows instead of the wine.
Was really great fun to do. Enjoyed finding bits and bobs to go in the baskets. The arranging and wrapping certainly put my creative side to a good use.
Thanks for all the tips. Cellophane was from ebay, one roll did all the baskets and I still have enough for another one or two.0 -
These are all amazing! I can't wait for next year.. I wanna play too!
Well done, I'd love to get one of those on Christmas morning"The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too."- Samuel Butler0 -
After all the inspiration from this thread I have just wrapped up hampers eleven and twelve. Thank you to everyone for all your tips.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

I managed to get my roll from Freecycle of all places. Someone was wanting rid of a whole roll of the stuff & I knew it'd come in handy one day, so glad I asked for it now as I've loads left for this next year.0
