Wow there are some fantastic hampers on here.
I have joined too late to do any this year. But i am deffinately going to participate in hamper making for next Christmas ! What an inspiration i have from all your beautiful hampers. There is going to be some very happy people this Christmas
Do people buy bits all through the year to make their hampers ? Or do you tend to ait and try to get some kind of theme for them ?furrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:
About me. Im Choccy or Chocolate orange depending on where i am.Yes occasionally i am a total looon who spends too long online, but no where near as much £ as her spendy elves do ..:D0 -
i start buying in the jan sales and pick up bits throughout the year, i still have loads to buy in december though as i end up with loads of half finished hampers, this year i will definately try to think of the themes before buying stuff so i dont end up with things i wont use.0

Sorry to bump my own post....but any suggestions would be gratefully received!Sorry to be lazy and not go back through the thread, but I've told my mum about this idea and we are doing a basket for my sister. We're not getting anything baby related (my mum says it is bad luck?!) but mummy related, so far we have:
* mum to be moisteriser (Boots)
* mum to be cleanser (Boots)
* posh shampoo / conditioner (voucher, Boots)
and....er....
Wanted stuff to treat my sis, but wondered if anyone had created a basket for a mum to be? Would love to see a link.
BTW, this thread is inspirational and i want to do some next year! :T

what about some maternity pyjamas that could also be worn for breast feeding (mothercare, vertbaudet, m&s) or a nice soft dressing gown and slippers.0

Ooh thanks jacksons mum, can you tell I haven't had a mum to be to buy for before?

A nice CD with calm music? Her favourite music? what about a book about babies? or a subscription to a mother and baby magazine? Nice smelling candle to relax by. A DVD, a weepy chickflick or a comedy or Christmas film
voucher to go out for a meal so she doesn't have to cook, giftvouchers for Mothercare0 -
yeah, they are usually a wrap over style. if you are going to buy from vertbaudet or la redoute make sure you get a code for money off or a free gift - there are loads around.
some good ideas there mumoftwo, what about a massage set so her OH can pamper her, a cookery book for easy but healthy meal ideas as she wont have much time or energy to cook but needs to eat healthily or a voucher booklet with things you and your mum could do for her in it e.g. go shopping for you, do the washing up/ironing, cook you a meal, look after baby for a bit.0 -
Ooh mumoftwo those are lovely ideas, thanks
She loves candles so I might get a few of those. And Jacksons mum, I think she's gonna expect me to do all those things without vouchers!!! Which is cool, I can't wait!!!

WOW that is amazing. Just about everything you could ever need in there. You obviously care about the recipient of this hamper a lot.
Thanks for sharing :T~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hi basketers
I just wanted to say that I was back in bodycare (the toiletry shop) and there were some odds and ends that might help to bulk out those unfinished hampers.
Finally, M&S must be selling their £1 toiletries off nationwide? I noticed there was a lot more choice in the Aloe Vera range.
Hope this helps any 'last minuters' and if I've forgotten to thank anyone, it's not because I don't like your hampers. There's just so many of them.
Thanks everyonex
I haven't seen or heard of the BodyCare shop. Is this another group of stores "up North" can anyone tell me?
