    evening everyone

Well i have finally got 3 more hampers done, nearly gave myself a hernia lugging more stuff back from the supermarket and then had fun trying to get everything in the baskets  ....
This one is for my neice..she is only just 1 and loves anything musical and flashing..so the big marraca thing plays different tunes when she shakes it ... mind with the weight of it me thinks she is going to be inflicting pain :rotfl:
then she has a pooh scarf n hat, gloves, some disney choc coins, the reindeer is a draught excluder..but it wouldn't fit in her mum n dads hamper :p .... a choc santa and a box each of choc bananas, choc orange segments and choc strawberries - a lot of sweet stuff i know - but they have about a years date on them and im sure mum n dad will "help" and there are more bits hidden at the bottom.. inclding a box of disney pasta -shaped like characters

will get it wrapped in the morning

  • all the ideas on this thread have been amazing  and the finished baskets look fab ! I would be so chuffed if I got one for xmas !

I have decided to make my dad an olive oil one, he loves olive oil, he just recently 'found' it and uses it when cooking all the time, anyway I have bought him an olive oil receipe book and tesco does loads of diff flavours of olive oil, so will get those as well, but I was wondering if anyone might have any advice of what kind of holder/basket to put these in, Im not sure if it would look right in a basket hmmm. What do you guys think ?

Here is one for my brother

the basket is a bit bright..but he will be sooo distracted by the contents he won't notice ;)
He loves Tapas, messe etc..and im rather chuffed with this one :p and the prices compared to similar in the UK was brilliant..will work out overall prices soon

    he has:-
    3 bottles of beer
    3 matching beer glasses
    1 bottle greek red wine
    1 bottle greek whote wine
    bottle balsamic syrup
    2 tins different marinated prawns
    2 tins marinated fish
5 jars antipasta... artichoke hearts, bean salad, aubergine etc...
    and some choc expresso beans

I had to put the jars in bags as i know they will leak if i don't, and i have taped bubble wrap around the bottom half of the glasses n bottles as i think me n hubby will go batty listening to chink chink chink all the way back to the UK :rotfl:

I think a basket would be fine, but what about a nice pasta serving bowl or morrisons have some deep wooden bowls which i think were only a few quid?

  • I was in QS today, and they've got lots of really nice looking boxes and baskets if anyone is still after them? I know they were mentioned previosuly, but at the moment they've got a buy two gifty things get two free type offer, so you could get 4 for the price of two! (or some bits to go in them as well!!!)

Wish I hadn't wrapped/posted mine now as they are so nice (and a much easier shape to post!!! Oh well!)
