All these hampers look great but it's making me feel like my hampers are so inadequate :o

I'm doing a couple movie night hampers but all I was going to put in them were: a bottle of Lindauer rose; lindt assorted truffles; gourmet popcorn; and 2 dvds (no new releases as I know they have sky and tend to buy new releases themselves). The more I think about them, the more worried I get that they are really lame. We don't normally do anything special for xmas but I thought this year I might do something different than the usual wine bottle we give. Does anyone have any advice for me?

They sound lovely to me :T , you should stick to your budget and not be tempted to spend more than you can afford/usually spend, mine have worked out at less than I would normally spend cos I have got most things from poundland/home bargains or wilko:D
  • Hi unixgirluk, I haven't got a poem that you could use but I have written a poem for my partner for xmas. I got the idea from the festive fivers comp (sorry I can't remember who posted it). I was no good at poems or anything at school but I used this site to get the words that rhyme. I wrote a couple of verses about funny things that we have done, DIY in the house etc, just significant things to us. I was surprised it actually sounded ok. It might mean a lot to your partner if they have had a hard time recently. HTH

I've made one up for my DIL using all the unused smellies I had from last xmas, so don't worry about it being lame, at least you bought yours :D It'll be fab and they'll love it. You'll see :)

  • Hi all, I am doing an exotic/luxury food hamper for my parents, full of stuff that I think they might like to try and stuff they wouldn't normally buy themselves.
I have just found this roaster in Argos
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/8611484/Trail/searchtext%3EROAST.htmfor half price and thought that instead of buying a basket that they would never
use I would pack it all in this and they could have more use for it!

I will post a pic when I have got it all set up and finalised :D

  • I've got a lot of my hamper/basket bits and keep putting them together:D but haven't got space to store them if i wrap them and i'm sure in our house wherever I put them they would get dusty but then again if i wrap them I might stop spending each time i'm out on little bits i see;).

Where do others store them? perhaps i might get a brainwave from you.
We love what we are doing and we love why we're doing it!!
