  • How about a small recipe book full of yummy chocolate recipes such as biscuits and cakes? You should be able to pick one up from a bookshop or supermarket for just a couple of £s (I have a couple of cheap ones with lots of lovely recipes).

I would like to do a hamper with a 'chocolate theme' but im lost for ideas

I did a Chocolate hamper for my SIL last year - I found some slipper socks in Boots that had chocoholic logos on. I bought some of this chocolate cream liqueur which although it's £10 a bottle is so scrummy I bought myself a bottle too!! I found some Green & Black's minature bars on offer at Tesco's. Also I had the mug and sachets of chocolate drink and a chocolate candle.

It's my DD's 9th birthday on Tuesday. She's already had her main present, which is a bike, a few weeks ago.

As she's off with her dad this afternoon I have taken the opportunity to make her up a mini hamper to give to her on the day. It's made up of everything she loves - pink, fluffy, cute animals ....and SWEETS! The main part of the hamper is 'Catz' game for gameboy advance, but I've concealed it behind most of the other bits as a surprise.

Hamper basket - 19p (charity shop)
Catz GBA Game - £4.87 (can't remember where it is from, but it was a special offer I found via HotUKDeals a couple weeks ago + a 10% off code).
Fluffy cat socks - £1.00 (Primark)
Cat design crop tops - £2.50 (Primark)
Fluffy pink pen - £1.00 (Lloyds chemist)
Cat Ornaments - 39p each (Bitz)
    Cat notebook - 39p (Bitz)
Candy Canes - 39p each (Happy Days)
Tiama Body Spray - 59p (Brian Fords)
Trident Chewing Gum - Freebie (posted on MSE)
    Misc sweets - £1.50 (approx)
    TOTAL = £13.60

I'm waiting for some clear cellophane to arrive before I can wrap it.
:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j

  • Hi

I'm new to MSE, but I've been looking at all these hampers for ages and they are fabulous, I've been inspired!

I have finished and wrapped four for my team at work (I'm a supervisor and thought it was a lovely idea to show my team how much I appreciate them) I will get round to posting a piccie.

    My question anyway...

I am making a "Bathtime Bliss" hamper for my bf's mum. In it I am putting: some dove bath stuff, a mini bottle of champers, an exfoliator sponge, a CD (for her to listen to whilst soaking) and some candles. I have also added some pj's and some bed sox (knitted by my wonderful Nanna) for after her bath to snuggle down in.

I was wondering if anyone can think of a little poem I can put on the tag to explain the basket??

    Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks.

    Tracey x
