Well im a massive fan, my dyed red hair returned to a stunning shade of blond with ease, as did my friends. I cant rate it highly enough :)

I have found it amusing that the 'fan' of the product has been told to stop defending it, whilst the haters are allowed to continue with as many posts as they please !

Well as I have said all along , everyone is entitled to an opinion and everyone is entitled to make others aware of their experience of the product in question....

Just out of curiousity Mishkanorman , what is your original hair colour? Im assuming that it must be blonde seeing as how you say that colour b4 worked for you? (im assuming this as the product claims to return hair to its original colour)
The loopy one has gone :j

Yes, im naturally an ash blond, I change to a dark brown/red once or twice a year for a month or so, normally I would have to bleach the colour out and spend several £££ on getting it back to a non ginger shade. This has been fantastic for me, my hair wasnt damaged at all :)

I am only posting to relate my experience with this product and Scott himself and not to get into an argument with anyone or to defend anyone. I am in no way connected to Scott Cornwall, nor am I a 'new' or made up poster.
The problem that I have with the quote pulliptears is that regardless of processing time , the product still claims to remove permenant dye in (insert the processing time) be it 20 , 30 or 60 mins and it does not !

The problem I had was that I was told by the maker of the product to use the product up to 7 times to remove the black hair dye....yet on the box and in the instructions it claims that you should use the product a max of twice?

So , people buy the product thinking that they will need to use the product a max of 2 times to remove their dye when infact what the consumer doesnt realise (until they contact the maker) is that it *may* require anything up to 7 treatments !
    Thats my problem!

Seems you are a fan of the product pulliptears so theres no need for you to defend it any more...I get the point.

There are plenty of other review sites with poor reviews of the product . You tube is also full of people showing off the orange/ginger hair they have been left with after using the product .

After having read some of the questions on the FB page ie

QUOTE 'My natural hair colour was medium brown, I then had a few caramel highlights put in over two years ago which lightened my hair to a lighter brown, I then had it dyed dark brown at the hairdressers, then I have dyed it my self different shades of dark brown with either garnier products or loreal, i also died i...t a reddy colour once but also the colour didnt grab to well,
I then had a permanent dark brown at the hairdressers. I then dyed it black however the colour didn't grab well and came out quickly, I had it stripped at the hairdressers over a month ago and it went a copper colour, I did not like the colour and so I had it dyed a ash colour to tone it down but has come out a dark brown again, the colour is fading already. I want to be a light brown again so I would like to know what colour b4 would do to my hair.'
    QUOTE

I am not surprised that there are some people for who it has not been 100% successful. The person quoted above has put her hair through a lot of chemical processes and may think she can just whack on CB4 and it'll be back to dark blonde.
(I am NOT saying this applies in your case OP)

Peroxide based colours (anything but a temporary 6-8 washes) work by first lightening the hair and then depositing colour ie brown/black/whatever.
This is the reason that after using CB4 the hair is gingery.
CB4 does not cause it to go ginger/orange - it was lightened to that shade by the peroxide, then the colour in the hairdye product coloured it to the chosen shade.
Anybody who has had highlights will know that they go through a range of orange/canary yellow shades, sometimes ending up a decent blonde, but sometimes needing an ash toner.
CB4 opens up the hair shaft and lets the molecules (of colour) be rinsed out (put very simply)
This is the reason that xxl colours/straighteners/any conditioner/styling spray containing silicone can be a problem..........silicone/extreme heat 'set' the colour and make it difficult for the molecules to be rinsed out.

Scott gave me written consent (in your emails to me Scott incase you are wondering) to publish my reviews so that is what I have done and will continue to do.

We each are entitled to an opinion or to make people aware of the facts of what results we get from a product after we use it and thats exactly what I will continue to do !

The reason I'm posting...........to give MY opinion and make people aware of the result I got.

I always had bleach foils done at the hairdressers.............then DISASTER! Came out almost black!!! They said they couldn't put it right and I'd have to grow it out - I was devastated!

I posted on Scott's FB page for advice and found him to be very helpful.
I used the extra strength and was very pleased with the results of the colour it left me with and the condition was fabulous, I didn't even use conditioner.
Scott had told me to wait at least 7 days before having some foils, so 10 days later I went to a different hairdresser for bleach foils. The result was fabulous, just bleach foils, no toner required.

I then had some more about 8 weeks later again the result was great.

This product sorted out a mistake that my hairdresser made and should have sorted but wouldn't................I'm glad anyway, as I really wouldn't have wanted my hair stripped with bleach - don't think it would have survived!

This has been very useful in helping me make my mind up, thanks! PS I just used the before your dye and after you dye ones (didn't realise it was by the same company) and they're also both very good.

this product worked for me, i can post some pictures i used the extra strength one, left it on for 1 hour and wrapped my hair in cling film..gosh it stinks doesnt it, my hair looks lighter than my natural colour, not far off tho and i had been using xxl passion red for about 3/4 months (used 3 boxes of this dye) from what i hear it wont work if you used alot of heat on your hair, and on certain colours but i was really impressed

my original hair colour is medium to dark brown, i had put a hair dye of mahogny brown on about 3months ago and wanted to strip it so i did....cue my shock when i ended up with very light ginger/brown ish hair :S it seems to be going darker as i wash it more but i followed instructions to the letter, its ok it doesnt look bad, just not keen on the shade i guess, anyone else had this experience?

I've used this stuff and it worked for me no issues. I've been dying my hair for YEARS all colours. I'd bleached it too at various points.
I knew this wouldn't bring it back to my natural dark brown after it being bleached but it took it back to a lovely shade of blonde, stripped out all the red, black, purple and blue, and then I could put a brown dye over it to match my natural colour.

Totally stinks but worked great for me.

Has anyone else had this problem???

Yeah , loads of people! Read online reviews and also search on youtube...you will find tons of people who have experience of this colour b4 product.

My own (well , my Daughters) experience of this product was a disaster! We too followed the instructions to the letter and my Daughter was left with hair which was patchy in colour and which was ginger . The product claims to return the hair to its ORIGINAL colour but in my experience it did not.

Most people I have spoken to about this product have ended up with ginger hair after using it . There seems to be a few people who get good results but to me , looking at their picture their hair is just GINGER!

Thats my opinion of the product and because of my experience with it and the fact that it turned my Daughters hair ginger which is NOT her original colour I would not recommend it. Each to their own however.
The loopy one has gone :j
