Think I have found it but its is blue, I thought you said it was green.
I dont think I would ever go there anyway so nothing lost0 -
makes sense to me.
I still dont understand how a contract can be formed deposits exchanged and the Dealer doesnt have to stand by it.
The customer is not allowed to make a mistake and cancel the deal but the dealer is !!!!
The customer can cancel a contract and get his deposit back. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

But this isn't what the OP was told by the garage.it states on the reciept if i change my mind no deposits are refundable.0 -

It doesn't make any difference what the terms and conditions say on the order. Nearly all vehicle sales order follow the standard RMIF terms and conditions. But that doesn't mean they are correct.
All the dealer can retain are any provable losses/costs they might have incurred. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

I know that, but so far we have a salesman who gives the wrong figure why pricing up a part ex car, and a garage who puts terms that are unenforceable and may be illegal on their paperwork.
It hardly instills confidence in them does it?
Even though the "no refund of deposit" may not be enforceable, I wonder how many people would think that it was correct and if changing their mind, would simply walk away.0 -

In which case, one should never go to any dealer, anywhere, or at anytime. The terms and conditions are standard in all RMIF vehicle orders, which almost every dealer in the UK use. I am sure if the OP reads all the conditions on the order, he will find one that allows him to withdraw. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
