My 0808 is provided with my broadband as a backup, the other way to get one is by signing up with an isp and paying a monthly fee.

I'm just not getting this. Do I put in Internet Explorers internet options box the number 02081149845 1899 to get free dialup@4pence connection charge? Sorry to be so slow on the uptake or have I lossed the plot completely-I wouldn't be surprised. Thanks for any replies.

I have found the people that run geoISP

Still unsure about the reasons behind this, though, as it must be a loss making outfit.

Where you put the dialup number, you put 189902081149845. Other than that, the setup is exactly the same as any other dialup connection.

I'm assuming you have signed up to 1899 already. you don't have to sign up to Geoisp tho.

Looks great as a back up if no Broadband but has anyone actually used it?

    Random,

Only the once when my 0808 wouldn't connect. I know nothing about the company though.
  • I've tried it a few times during the last couple of days, but haven't got the connection to hold for more than 4 minutes so far. Any others gettng this?
  • I have got GeoISP to work but the fastest speed I'm getting is 33.6kbps which is fine if I don't actually want to use any major sites.

At least I'm getting connected for the moment! Thanks
I may be shy, but that doesn't make me an angel ;)
