Free Dial-Up Internet Access???

Morning,
I've just given up the fight with the lovely Talktalk re my broadband not working, but really need to find a free dial-up connection to use in the meantime whilst waiting to swap back to BT
I've googled and found a couple but am reluctant to use something I've never even heard of.
So, can anyone actually recommend a free dial-up access please or have you even heard of adial.co.uk or connect4free.co.uk?
Any help appreciated. Thanks

althought the sevice is free the calls still get charged at local rate, if you dont want to use and unknown company sign up with bt or freeserve0

Hi, thanks for your reply.
As TT still have my line and I'm in the process of moving back to BT I can't actually sign up with anyone for the broadband yet.
I'm happy to pay the call charges for the dial-up for the moment until I can get back up and running with 'proper' net access lolI may be shy, but that doesn't make me an angel

If you use 1899 or 18185, this might be useful? http://www.geoisp.co.uk/0

Thanks for that Random. Using a geographical number is ideal so at least I can get something out of the package i've still got with TT. It shouldn't cost me a penny using the geo number!!!
Appreciated

Anyone know the answer to this - I use Primus saver option 2 that gives me free evening and weekend calls ( As recommended in Martins phone section ).
Could i then use this geoisp number to get free dial up internet access free during evenings and weekends ?.
Sorry another question - I also use 18185 and 1899 for daytime calls, if i put these numbers infront of the geoisp number could i then get daytime internet access for just the 4p connection fee ?
Many thanks.0 -

Not sure about Primus, though it ought to work? I've only used this number once, as my 0808 dialup wouldn't connect, but that is what my 1899 account says.
I only found the number myself a couple of days ago, it's brilliant!0 -
Who on earth runs GeoISP?? How do they make any money???0

Hi, Like Stuart I am dubious about this only because of the "no free lunch" scenario, what is the catch?
I presume the call charges are the normal (3p per minute daytime?) and evning and weekend would it be 5.5p for up to 1 hour., and none of those charges go to geoisp.(notice I still use BT for my calls!!)
I used geoisp last night and it worked fine.
Random. You mention an 0808 number, is that free? How do you manage that?0
