  • I guess I am in the minority and get paid on the last working day of the month. Same as usual. No difference for me!

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.
  • i get paid on the 10th of each month so should be ok, but also get paid weekly frm bar job xx
  • I get paid as normal from my work. Not even Christmas gets in the way of Council business!

But lucky for me i just paid my car loan off so im £140 better every month.. so hopefully that should give me a overspending buffer for dec/jan

Don't you mean a savings bonus leading to more interest, we're all
money savers here, not overspenders....aren't we....

My work has not seen fit to tell us yet, although every year they pay early and every year they say don't rely on it next year!! Information on things like pay is on a need to know basis and employees do not need to know.

  • I get paid on the 10th so no change for me however this thread has made me think a bit more about budgeting over Christmas. My DD is in a Pantomine and I am going to be chaperoning some of the kids for a few of the days. This means occupying them inbetween matinee and evening performances - normally I think they go to the pub next door or a cafe :o I am really going to have to look into this as I am really trying to get back into old style ways. Think I need to talk to some of the other Mums to see what they do.

Dont forget that if you pay council tax by direct debit you get 2 months 'free' in Feb and March :T pity it has to start again in April though

I'm paid four weekly but it jumps right over Xmas so no change for me.

I'm more interested in Easter. I'm unlucky enough to get paid on good friday, which is the 6th of April. If they pay us the day before then apparently we count as being paid in the previous financial year. If they pay us the day after it jumps right over the long weekend and we get paid a week late. Bummer.

Apparently the govt is thinking about possible solutions.
