My December payday is the 20th and my January payday is the 25th. Ugh.
Well, since this is my first Christmas alone I'm not planning on going anywhere. Just need to do a relatively good food stock-up and then lie low with the Radio Times, the half-dozen bottles of cheap plonk that I've been accumulating, and Christmas telly
I'm also going to reduce my overpay on my highest interest CC for December and maybe January, too, so I've got some spare. I'm currently overpaying by about £400 a month so I'll cut that down to a £200 overpay in December and see where things stand in January. I was cut out to be rich, but got sewn up wrong.0 -
Our pensions are paid into our account weekly, so no real problem, any payments such as Housing benefit due on 29th will come through before Christmas, but it goes into the bank. I have enough Tesco vouchers to pay for all of Decembers grocery shopping.......... so have a bit of lee way in our budget.
Most of our payements go out on 1st of the month, just odd ones through the month. The biggest is our rent which goes out on 16th of the month,Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
I have no idea when I'll get paid in December... last year it was a week early as it's usually the last Friday of the month but will have to ask.
However, this won't make any difference to my bills as last year I got myself into the position of paying a month ahead in affect.
I get paid end of the month and those wages are kept for the bills at the end of the next month
:money:
Best thing I ever did

We'll get paid on the 22nd December, then won't get paid again till 31st January  Will just pretend the money isn't there until 1st January. Am going home for a week as well so no food spending, parents like to treat me! :beer:0

Only one of our incomes is monthly so I am really pleased I don't have this nightmare. Everything else is weekly. I find it so much easier that way, have DDs staggered etc.One day I might be more organised...........
