I was thinking about a job in computers, but I dont actually have anything on paper to say that I am good with computers which is what they always want. :(

I have never heard of reed, I will look at that, problem with temping though is I dont drive, and our bus service is kinda out of whack, so it cant be far away.
Come on Wanty, as Panda says, where's the 'kick @ss' wanty that posts in DTs? I feel like you are just making excuses at every hurdle. Why not do a part-time 'Back to Work/Return to Work' college course, where you will get your diploma, so you can get some Office work. They are free, and I believe you will get your travelling expenses paid.

Chauff kept kicking me off the computer :(

I tried the M&S website, and you can only apply for their flagship stores on there, my nearest is not very near at all. I had a mental walk through of all the shops in my town to have a look at their websites to see if they do online applications, not many did, even tried poundland, they only have jobs open in blackpool (I aint traveling that far :rotfl: )

I am going to make a list tonight of all the biggish shops that will be more likely to be looking for staff, (really like the sound of M&S, apparently they are really good to work for) and hit each of them tommorrow after drawing up copies of my CV to give to them if I can (or get applications, and go have a brew in a cafe while I fill them out)

Frizz, I am already doing a degree, I'm not going out doing another course, I am only planning on going out to work because I am the one who can get one quicker.

Oh and re: ACAS, I am putting together on one list, a timeline and little facts so I know where I am when I am on the phone to them, hopefully my mobile still does free calls to 0870 otherwise its going to cost a fortune.

EDIT: Just got really excited when I saw an "apply now" thingy on superdrug webby, seem you can apply for any job position they have there.

    Except sales assistant

Did you tell them about the withhold of wages/sick pay since Aug? In a previous post you said take them to small claims court and that isn't the right direction. Yes, they said to contact inland revenue

So are they taking your claim on? He gave me the number of a solicitor, he never said anything about taking a claim on

Have you approached the garage today, when is his intended return to work date? ACAS has said to not contact them anymore other than by letter, and once the 28 days is up, hand his resignation in, which was the plan

Is chuff looking for another job in the meantime? No, it is either going to be me working or him

Whats a mental walk round the shops looking for a job, I'd be desperate enough to walk Baba out today into town. Bubba is poorly, and its been slating it down, I am not walking 4 miles in that

Baby cam comment is off topic in this thread wanty! no comment.
