    I suggest you ask them if you really want to know, but I'd say yes, because interest is normally always paid upon account closure.

    I have to say I'm impressed with Nationwide.

    Transferred my 2.75% eISA funds within a matter of minutes online to the new 3.1% eISA, and had all the paperwork through the post and new account setup online, all within a week. No fuss. :beer:
