Thanks le loup,
Can i just apply online wait for the new isa to appear and then transfer all of the funds into the new one or do I transfer during the online process ie: step 3?
Do I need to leave £1 in and why, and do I need the ISA Consolidation Form that has been talked about?
Can't I just apply online then transfer all funds to the new one and if so do I do that at time of application or once the Isa appears in my onling acct?
Many many thanks0 -
Open new account ... no payment required.
When new account appears on-line, transfer old account to new account.
No Consolidation form now needed if transferring e-ISA to e-ISA.
£1 only refers to keeping the account. If balance falls below this amount, presumably they will close the account.0 -
Thanks to the posters above for outlining the steps to transfer my 2010-11 (2.75%) e-ISA across to the latest issue. It was a lot simpler than I expected. I wish I'd done this a few weeks ago now. If only I'd come on here then!
Thanks again - great work guys, much appreciated!0 -
I transferred my ISA from Santander To the Nationwide eISA following the heads up on here - I went in the branch last week they opened the current account for me & within days they had sent me my online log on details & my funds had transferred over from Santander. Great Service & quickness of the transfer!0

One question - does that interest that has been added and is now part of the ISA count as a proportion of my allowance? I'm going to put the last of my 2010-11 allowance in tomorrow but with the interest now in there, I might need to adjust my sums. Thanks for any advice.0 -
No. Interest received in an ISA does not count as part of your contribution.0

I transferred in 2 ISAs (no new money) posted the application a week ago last Monday.
The transfer from Santander arrived last Saturday 2nd and the one from M&S Money arrived on Wednesday 6th. They also wrote to me to confirm once both transfers had arrived.
Nationwide pay interest from the Tuesday the application arrived, of course, but it's good to see the whole thing has gone through so quickly this time and I could already see the balances online within 9 days (in contrast to the 3 months I once waited to transfer out from Abbey!)! I'm impressed by the service so far!0 -
If i open a new E-isa and transfer my old one over, will the interest earned upto the transfer date be paid before it transfers over to the new one?, given that the interest payment date is in october?.0
