& I assume by your response that you believe the government are lying when they say we're all in this together, as dictated by global economics it is pointless trying to tax the rich?
It is not right, but being pragmatic about it, no single government has the power to do much about it.0 -
So we're not all in this together then. & the poor can bear the tax burden, as the rich won't pay...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0

Depends on your definition of rich. The very rich have never paid much tax, the "quite well off" do tend to pay.0 -
Record companies shot themselves in the foot with the price of CDs in the past. And as far as paying for downloads, they haven't learned their lesson. iTunes for instance wanna charge you £10 for a crappy 128kbps download, with !!!!!! sound quality that is a tenth of a CD.
Not surprising people use torrent sites.Have owned outright since Sept 2009, however I'm of the firm belief that high prices are a cancer on society, they have sucked money out of the economy, handing it to banks who've squandered it.0 -
I just bought two CD's from Amazon, only £5 each, in addition I subscribe to Napster at £5 a month with unlimited streaming and 5 downloads a month, great value.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0

It may be me, but I find the sound quality of downloads to be pretty awful.0
