I am probably a complete old git, but well recorded vinyl played on a decent turntable through a valve amp, really does show how bad downloaded digital really is.
There's an old thread somewhere in DT that could only be described as hi-fi !!!!!!."An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".
!!!!!! is all that about?0 -
this was from play.comAre you sure they were sent from Jersey? Books are zero rated for VAT (i.e. they are VATable but the rate is 0%) so I'd be surprised they were sent that way. Amazon send its books within the UK I believe - i've had some in a couple of days, even on the free delivery.Who remembers when X Factor was just Roman suncream?0 -

I moved with around 500 lps and even a couple of boxes of singles and yep, they weigh a ton! I had big plastic crates to put them in and that added to the weight. Furthermore, I refused to risk them in the removal van proper (having "lost" a whole box with gig programmes and other souvenirs in a previous move) and moved them with a friend in a further hired box van:)."there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0 -

Is it about what sort of files you download though? I'm not much up on downloading, but a friend did download a few bits and bobs from his hard drive to my computer a few weeks back and there were various download formats and the one he used used up more space, but downloaded a better standard of reproduction."there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0
