Signed for letter was a letter off the allotment people wanting to know why my plot had a 'lack of cultivation'. Got to attend a meeting with the Committee on 21 September to explain extenuating circumstances, OR let them organise the sale of the plot!!!!!!

In the meantime, I have written them a letter explaining the circumstances and said I was glad to meet with them to discuss further.

It is a pity that their assessment of the plot took place ONE day before I started getting stuck back in after being on holiday! By the time the meeting comes round there will be more changes, as I have ordered my winter crops from Suttons and I need to get an area dug to accomodate them. Fingers crossed they don't chuck me off - I have been enjoying my time up there recently - its so calming an atmosphere.

Anyway, I'm trying not to worry about that and getting back to MSE.

£co payment of £6.13 transferred to House Fund (updating signature shortly).

No shopping done last night as the road was shut due to a stabbing! So had a hellish journey home and couldn't be bothered to go out again to get shopping.

So, will be purchasing essentials from Mr T tonight. Hoping they have still got one of the saucepans I want and have got £10 off my mum (for repairs DH did!) to get a couple of bottles of wine - this will mean I can use my £4 off £40 shop and I have some other coupons too.

5p/litre saved last night when I filled up at Mr T too! Only £2, but it all helps.

Tonight's tea is Turkey Steaks with Citrus Sauce. Lunch today for me was noodles and DH was fending for himself (I bet he had a breakfast sandwich!).

Wishing everyone a fab Bank Holiday Weekend!

I'm sure your allotment will be fine, after all you did have very extenuating circumstances. They'll also see that you've started back again.

    Have a good weekend.

Spent an exhausting weekend up the allotment. Speedy Turnips and Leeks planted and a few Pepper Plants. The digging continues.

Managed to get down to the Nationwide on Saturday and they fitted my appointment in then! Going to go back in a couple of months to sort another couple of things out, but at least most of my finances are now sorted for the time being.

Also, transferred £500 of my inheritance to the House Fund.

Managed to cook all weekend and tonight we have Beef, Mushroom and Ginger Stirfry.

No lunches planned this week as DH is off work. Going to pop to Herr A on the way home to get some bits and pieces for the fridge and some nice things to drink so he has sustinance while building the wall out the front!

    Off to update signature.

Hope everyone had a great weekend (sorry Froggy).

Just an after thought - got £12 of Mr T savings stamps - hopefully get a few more this weekend coming.

Thanks Alchemilla! and thanks for stopping by.

No, no idea what's wrong with me - one of my colleagues had a 24 hour thing last week, but I've had this for about a week now. Having ginger in tonight's tea to try and settle the stomach - trying not to think about it too much.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
