Right, rest of my update and happy Friday BTW:j

Have transferred the £100 to our house fund and £2.69 £co payment received this morning.

Didn't have any tea last night as had a packet of chocolate buttons on the way home and then proceeded to feel sick all evening. DH went and got himself some bacon and sausage and had a fry up!

Was starving this morning and feel ok now.

Herr A came to £13ish and got a few things to get from Mr T tonight - including a saucepan that they have on offer! Also, got a £6 off £40 so will stock up for the next couple of weeks until payday.

Hope I am feeling ok for a glass of wine later as I have not enjoyed my week back at work - not feeling very enthused about it at all.

Tonights tea is Garlic Chicken with Rice and Salad from the garden.

Lunches today have been ham and tomato ciabatta rolls for DH and a tin of ravioli for me.

Hoping to get off work early today as most of the office are going to play golf at 3pm - so don't intend to stay here till 4.30pm when they are all off on a jolly!

DH passed his exams with a credit:j:j:j:j

I am so proud of him - especially as he was doing the write up for the practical the afternoon after his dad passed away.

Someone was smiling on him and helping him get through.

Even more qualified now. Really hope that his boss manages to get him a promotion with the director. All he wants really is 'Assistant' to be dropped from his job title - but if he can get on the next pay scale that will be VERY good.

    Thanks megela

He never really gives himself credit for anything - but he can be proud that under extreme circumstances he passed first time!

I was really lazy this weekend.

Didn't cook on Friday night - we decided to go out and the money came from the inheritance I have just received. Friday's tea of flavoured chicken got shifted to Saturday night!

Saturday I didn't do anything till 2pm as I was determined to finish my book! (Which I did!)

Then I rushed round getting a shower, putting the washing on and getting the kitchen tidied up before going to see mum and then catching up with friends. Followed by a quiet night in catchining up with some TV.

In MSE news, I have counted up Penguin Pot and I have another £20 of 50ps - that makes £40 to pay in and transfer - GOAL FOR TUESDAY!

I also 'found' the £100 my cousin had given me for the buffet I did for her at the end of June. My 'earnings' of £30 are being split - £15 to pay for the new bag I treated myself too and the other £15 can go into the House Fund - again this cash needs to be paid in - GOAL FOR TUESDAY!

Looked at my Mr T savings stamps and I was horrified to see I've only put £10 on the card so far - I really am so far behind. So I need to save all the £1 coins I can to catch up - £30 behind!!!!! (6 months).

Nationwide are lowering the rate on my e-savings again - I really need to book that finance review - JOB FOR SATURDAY.

Tonight's tea is Tarragon Chicken which is quick and easy - good job as I have a charity meeting later.

Lunches were ham sandwiches - boring I know - but didn't have alot of time this morning.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Even though there was a powercut down the town where I work - I was able to pay the £100 from buffet and £40 worth of 50ps in as the machines were working even if the counters were out of action.

£55 transferred to the house fund.

Charity meeting was calmer than anticipated - all good there for now.

Car was in for service today - cost me £179 - it was a major service and I only have one of these every 2 years - money from the relevant car pot.

Need to get my car tax this week too - another £140?

Now the car has been serviced - need to book the cat in for her annual service too - oohhh - that won't be good getting her into the basket.

Energy bills have come through and guess what? I will have to pay that £300 back to the gas bill that they refunded me - surprise surprise! Good job I didn't spend it!

Expensive few weeks, but the pots are working well and I am glad to say that I don't seem to be short for anything that I have needed to do.

Lunches were chicken salad wraps and tonights tea is Tuna Steaks (Spicy I think) with roasted vegetable cous cous.

Need to pop and get bread on the way home, but that's it.

Off to update signature with my £55 deposit.

Wasn't feeling very well again this morning, but seem to be ok now...

Booked the cat in the vets for 6pm on Friday. There won't be much shopping on Friday, so won't be too much of a rush.

Spoke to the energy company and I have paid the money we owe - I must also be the only person who has asked for their direct debit to be increased! they put it down to £25 and I have put it back up to £45 which is what it was before.

Forgot to bring car tax stuff with me today - will either do tonight or tomorrow.

Need to pick up prescription later too...

We are starting to get the front 'garden/yard' sorted. We have put a fence up between the two houses and DH has dismantled the wall at the front. He is now going to re-build the wall with the original bricks, but straighten it up as it was in danger of falling over before.

The foundation is in for the wall and he is just mapping out how to re-build it - I don't pretend to understand all the brick laying terminology - it baffles me a bit!

Tonights Tea is Tolouse Sausages, Red Onion & Mushroom Gravy, Mash and veggies - looking forward to it. Today's lunches have been: Granary Rolls with corned beef and tomato and ham & tomato for DH and Corned Beef, Tomato and Polish Mustard for me (was really nice).

Happy Wednesday everyone, we are halfway to the long weekend.:j

Not feeling too clever again...have sent my colleague to get me some plain biscuits for snacks as I am still hungry, but not feeling quite right.

    Car tax done.

Prescription picked up from the doctors, will fetch this tomorrow.

Got to go to the main post office on the way home to pick up a signed for letter that came for me the other day. Really don't know what it is - I bet its something silly - but the anticipation is killing me!

DH turned up with a new pair of purple converse I wanted - so that has set me back £27 (still waiting for my £3 change as clammering for the £1 coins at the moment!!! lol). They are lovely though.

£co have confirmed another £6ish payment which I assume will be in the bank tomorrow.

Herr A shop tonight - small list as DH is on holiday next week and I won't need so much for lunch boxes - but I will get the same amount of meat in case he wants sandwiches at home!

Lunches today have been - the remainder of the granary rolls with tuna and sweet chilli (cucumber on mine too). Tea tonight will be wither pasta with butternut squash, bacon and sage or a rissotto using the same ingredients.

Another step closer to the bank holiday weekend. We have 2 staff off tomorrow and MD is away till middle of next week, so hoping for an early finish.

    Hope everyone well.
